- The Biden administration said Israel's use of US-supplied weapons may have violated international humanitarian law during its military operation in Gaza. However, as the Biden administration wasn’t able to link specific US weapons to individual attacks by Israeli forces in Gaza, it could give the administration leeway. Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was not hiding in Rafah, two officials familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel on May 10. The US did not believe that the IDF’s operation in Rafah during the last 24 hours amounted to a wide-scale military offensive. A Republican congressman filed articles of impeachment against US President Joe Biden over withholding deliveries of weapons to Israel. Hamas senior official Khalil Al-Hayya claimed the Palestinian group wanted calm and a hostage deal while Netanyahu wanted the war to continue. Watch the video to find out more.

This was never seen in the history of warfare notwithstanding Hamas combatants do not wear uniforms, disguise as civilians, pop up from tunnels under civilian infrastructure, and use every possible chance to deceive. Is it so difficult to concede that even the majority of these civilian casualties, sad as they are, may be owed to Hamas using them as human shields, forcing them to remain in areas where the IDF says in advance it is going to strike? That even among these civilian casualty figures there are those covered combatants who support Hamas and act as real fighters and therefore shouldn't be counted as civilians?
