You said the s Max doesn't have spot clean when it does..to activate spot clean on your roborock Max you need to press n hold the arrow docking button for about 3 seconds..
pro tip: you can watch movies at Kaldrostream. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.

They removed the spot cleaning button indeed, but I saw in another video that you can activate spot cleaning function by pressing home button for 3 secs.

I really enjoy the progress on these vacuum robots. I hope one day they manage to reduce the maintenance so for example at the charging station water tanks get filled up automatically. Cleaning pads are changed from a dispenser and obviously dirt is removed as some do today.
let's wait for a humanoid robot to do that

I have the S50, and it has a save map feature, no-go zones and invisible walls. Use the Xiaomi home app. European model ofc!

If the air filter is washable means is EPA not HEPA. sad thing for allergics. The only xiaomi vacuum model that includes HEPA is the v1, and does not have mopping feature
I have the first generation (no mope) and it does not bounce side to side. It has the laser that makes all the mapping before cleaning. The app itself is identical and can only select some cleaning area if wanted. Best money I spent. Really helps saving time on cleaning.
I have been using s6 for a year, beats all the similar robotic vacuum cleaners hands down with reliable performance
i also have s6 and i like it but i kinda want that better mopping functionality
I got the S5 Max recently and I found a few downsides in it. Firstly, the rubber side brush can easily get stuck in carpet with long hair. I destroyed one arm of the brush at the first cleaning. If you have carpets with long hair I'd suggest buying "normal" side brush with hair.
The other problem that I have is that the main brush is creating strange noise that is louder than the sunction on lower power levels. Does your vacuum create the same noise or is it only mine?

Possiedo un Roborock S5 max da tre anni...credo che vivrà ancora tre anni. Mai dato problemi. E' stato il primo grande robot di roborock...un carrarmato da guerra. Ha resistito abbastanza da permettermi di attendere l'acquisto di un Roborock S7 Max V Ultra....spero che quest'ultimo duri altrettanto. Sono fiducioso.

Not so great. I place it in the middle between S5 and S5 Max. Althoug it has an improved mopping function, it has less features compared with S5 (less battery, no carpet mode which I find very usefull, bad designed dust been which leaks some bigger garbage peaces) and S5 Max (all mencioned before plus not possible to set no mopping zones, so less usefull mopping function).
What about the S6? A little more expensive, but worth it from the S5 max?
i'm new in these robot vacuums... so this model does it clean and mop at the same time or it needs to be changed in the setting to specifically do a certain task? Thank you

Which one would you take? Which one do you think has better mopping? Pros and cons of each one?
I have an S5 Max. It is a GREAT vacuum robot. But it doesn't mop worth a damn. I paid a LOT extra for the mopping feature, and boy am I disappointed.
The Max really does not "mop" at all. All it does is drag a slightly damp cloth across the floor and pick up what little dust the vacuum has missed. If your floor really needs mopping, you're better off with a Swiffer. At least a Swiffer can use a cleaning solution and can scrub. The Max has to use water -- anything else might corrode the system. And it does no scrubbing.
As I understand it, the S4 has all the navigation features of the Max, more suction, but no mopping -- and a MUCH lower price. Unless you really want your floors dusted after vacuuming, you'd be better off buying the S4 and saving the money.
What did you think? That it would scrub the floor with 100kg pressure?

It's all right if you don't have black carpets. It doesn't go through the black areas of the carpets. Interestingly, there is no review that uses carpets with black areas. I had to return two units until I was told to tape the optical sensors......

s5 also got firmware update that gives you selective room cleaning (you can seperate apt/house into rooms now too)
@@Zeecho really? I have S5 and even with latest app+firmware there is no such option - only zone cleanup which I have to define every time I clean. I quickly googled and saw that S6 can do this. Really S5 have this option? Maybe depending on region?
@@lukasandrysik3666 hm, mine allso have it. it didnt have in the beginning when i got it, but after update i got it.. rember to go to vacuum settings and turn on map saved mod.
@@lukasandrysik3666 latest firmware is 3.5... it's just rolling out and many have it. First it was only for S6 but now it's also for s5. Wait a day our two and keep checking in settings for firmware notfication.
yep, there is a firmware with rooms, no-go zones, etc. still it's missing no-mop zones (ignore fact that this s5 mop is pretty weak). it's not on every country - but You can always go china mainland just for update, or load it with flolevac app without changing anything.
None of these testers actually use them in their homes or they would tell you that the robots side brush gets wound up in medium to high pile carpet making it useless for most area rugs and shag carpets! And I am not talking high pile shag!!

Still confused, sorry. So, can you just press go and it will know when and what or not to mop? Or do you have to program everything? I'm lazy and can't be arsed with messing with apps. Just want to hit go before I leave for work in the morning, come home and the bot's figured it out. Or am I expecting too much?
Add the mop and water and just press go it will mop yes.

Water seems to be leaking from the water tank.
I try to look for replacements for the water tank filters, but so far I only see parts for S5, not S5 Max. Are they compatible?

I’m using roborock S5max from 1 year I’m happy about vacuum But the problem is abt mopping
It is always confusing to clean because it stepped previous cleaning mopspot and it went on circles there and lot of confusing and taking a lot of time then red light blinking and told there is obstacle or in unknown place
Bt it is not correct it is completely in open space so I stopped mopping and using only vacuum
How can I solve this problem and back to using mopping ? Please help me

Yes but just make sure it has Lazer mapping. The others that lack 369 degrees mapping are useless and slow

Maybe next time you should read the manual before doing a review as there are multiple pages where they discuss the spot function. And clearly the spot function was important to you so at least you would have known that was NOT removed but instead was integrated to the Dock/Spot button. Great review otherwise.

Good review. I just got the Neato D7 which is very good. I don't trust these chinese makers with my data. For mopping I would get the iRobot Braava.
They ain't gonna get much anyway. with just lidar & nothing else, all that's stored in the server would be the floor plans of your place & your bot's cleaning schedules. i'd understand the concern if the bot comes with cameras, like the S6 MaxV, but fearing over data picked up by lidar is just being paranoid.
