I believe Barry is guilty regardless of dna. He could've easily paid for help with this violation of mother's day and Suzanne's life.

Rather focus and be more concerned as to the DNA found matching the sex offender!
Surely it's better to deal with the evidence you have to hand as opposed to waiting for some other evidence to materialise in order to justify your preferred choice of perpetrator!

I think it's the fact that they've already lost one parent, and the fear of losing the only one they have left. Not saying I agree, because I couldn't do it, but I can't see how people do. 😞

When the autopsy came out and they said they found the tranquilizers in her bones i screamed. The cops have always said they thought he shot her with tranquilizers to kill her easier, and they were right.

I am a professionally trained genealogist (ex-Mormon), who has been doing genealogy for 47 years. For the last 12, I have been using DNA to help people find birth parents or other relatives after finding my mother’s father wasn’t really her bio Dad. You are absolutely right about the DNA Linda. I have also thought this could be a transfer from as you said, someone like a mechanic, tire dealer etc. They can get or put back registrations in the glove box, especially if you are a regular customer. (I’ve also been an ICU RN for over two decades with three science degrees.) I believe Barry absolutely did this-the tranquilizer dart, the vet meds, admitting he tranquilized deer (douchebag) and chasing her around the house. She was running for her life. As a mountain biker who has a few bike crashes, one a near fatal crash, I had to get myself out or die. You don’t leave your bike, you don’t take off your helmet and toss it. Neither does a kidnapper. He’s going to snatch and grab, not dilly dally around removing your helmet and tossing it elsewhere. As for Barry saying Suzanne was attacked by a mountain Lion in the beginning, they don’t remove helmets either with no evidence of blood and claw marks. They certainly don’t drag bodies 45 miles away. I hope they nail that sucker to the wall.
They don’t bury people on shallow graves either.,

And is he charged for chasing her around the house with a tranquilizer gun? I love your take, and query, leads me to think a pot shot in the woods and move bike later. Husband would be jealous of boyfriend, however the gun chasing is normalised as though :that's what I do"...redneck...

Also no one is talking about the fact that it’s illegal in Colorado to tranquillize animals for antlers or “horns” as he calls them. It’s only legal to collect antlers that have naturally dropped & only during a short season.

I recently read that the DNA found was possibly due to Suzanne having her car serviced and her bicycle serviced by other people. Hopefully we'll learn more about that if it is in face true.
Absolutely, and I think the police can get that information easily. Whether it was in a car wash or serviced. I see people not wearing masks or gloves to do the work. I bet the dna is sweating dna.

I read, a long time ago, that the dna in her car belonged to the brother of the sx offender. It was only a partial match to the sx offender. They were able to clear both men.
Something to also consider, in general, is the technology is so fine now, teeny tiny bits of dna are picked up everywhere. The defense is trying to confuse us.
Like the DNA they found in a HVAC duct or something similar after a professor (or scientist or science professor) was killed. The DNA was linked to a known criminal in CODIS but then they realized that he had died before the professor was murdered. He had been an employee of one of the contractors who built the new science building. His DNA had survived in the wall for years after the building was finished.
This always seemed obvious to me. Wouldn't our vehicles, household items we buy, etc always have random DNA. When we get our car worked on by a mechanic, or workers touching the items we buy, etc. it always confused me how they could be sure DNA was linked to the situation
That’s what I thought.
There is a company here in Northern Virginia that can check even when there is a partial piece.

On another crime podcast Suzanne’s friend said that the sheets in the dryer found with the dart cap was the daughter’s sheets. The friend thinks she ended up being chased upstairs by Barry to the daughter’s room. Interesting……
I’ve never seen so much suspicious behavior and evidence against someone guilty.
Anyone with intuition knows…. When someone gets missing, look at the closest love ones. Usually it’s the spouse or significant other.

Yes I agree. He had her somewhere near Fooses, the bobcat had dug a huge hole near there. She was later moved to Moffat.
Problem with that is if cadaver dogs searched the area (if dead but not if still alive. I think he kep her alive until being buried there. ! the bullet may have her DNA on it,@ no scent detection.# he likely put a recently killed animal on her grave to camoflage the smell of decay. people may think it was the animal and look no farther

Iris, ran circles around the Prosecution with this one point. But, I'm not worried, because it's Colorado, and they've got Agent Grusing in the CBI, who is not only an incredibly competent agent, but he is awesome on the witness stand. He will make sure this case is wrapped up as tight as a Hollywood A-lister's @ss.
You really put a lot of work into this presentation, and did such an amazing job explaining it so the average person could understand.
I have a background in the medical field, so I understood this and immediately knew that the partial dna meant nothing.

Oh! And, I agree with you...Suzanne was moved. BM had several days before reporting her missing, in order to cover up his deeds. I'd like to see the truck data for the two or three days before Mother's Day.
One more thing.... BM could've used Suzanne's medical port for her cancer treatments to inject even more of the BAM Tranq to guarantee her death. This could explain how they were able to find the BAM cocktail in the bone marrow of her femur. Ordinaryly, it takes awhile for such drugs to circulate through the body to be deposited in the marrow. A cancer port would expedite that process.

Suzanne could have touched a shopping cart with that DNA on it and then drove her car. So I would not even think it strange if the found a strangers DNA in my car today. We do not realise what a small amount of trace DNA transfer is necessary today for testing. We touch so much in our daily life just living.
There are people that don't understand the DNA. And there are people that don't WANT to understand the DNA.

We don’t really know how the children feel but I see how it comes across and I feel sorry for Suzanne. The daughter of Samantha Murphy, the mum who is missing in Australia, was clearly grieving her mum in an interview and the difference between the Morphew case and the Murphy case was apparent.
In time Macie and Mallory may feel differently.
When my mom died my stepdad got rid of most her stuff and never gave me anything i wanted on purpose. He was dating someone he met on tinder a week after she died and married 3 months later.

I worked for Andy in Indiana for 10 years at genes RootBeer their family owned business…. I met Suzanne on a few different occasions and let me tell you there are not enough ppl like her in this life time! She is as pleasant as she is beautiful inside and out! When we learned the news of her being missing we were all equally terrified as that is definitely unlike her! She was extremely family oriented!!! Never would she have abandoned her daughters! She loved them more than life itself!!!! I believe that their marriage suffered too much over the years and once the girls were of age and not have to choose she planned to divorce… Barry being the control freak that he is and with more than narcissistic tendencies couldn’t handle that by itself but once the realization that she was serious and had been involved with the Jeff relationship he snapped and hunted her like an animal through their home!
It wasn’t a crime of passion… it was down right cold blooded murder! I’m so grateful that the family didn’t pursue charges the 1st time bc now God is answering ALL our prayers!!!!!

That's how the Golden Gate Killer case was solved. A relative of the killer had their ancestory searched, and the results were added to a 'Big Brother' database.

@@ItsACrime- For 22 years i've been into genealogy. What got it started for me was my mom in her 60's kept saying she never knew anything about her father or his family. So loving a good research mystery I dived in head first. And what a wonderful journey it has been and it still is! I went thoroughly through both of her parents family trees ...her mother's side I went all the way back to the 9th century! That was crazy.
On MY father's side on both of his parents and their family trees ...his mother's side I went back to the 15th century. On his father's side I hit the proverbial wall ... smh....for 8 years!
And one day out of the blue I found the one document I needed to find out what the two initials of a fifth great grandfather stood for ....and back on the journey I went... all the way back to the 14 century and pinpointed the ancestor where my Sir name came from and his journey to America! It is absolutely beyond exciting to read stories about the people that you came from.
And again what started the whole thing as I said was finding information for my mom about her father .... I went back to my sixth great grandfather on her father's side......and for 22 years so far...I have yet again hit the proverbial wall with her father ...I know all about his entire family line ...but him! Isn't that crazy?! And frustrating.
I was very happy though to present her with so much information about ALL of her ancestors and those on her father's side....she was so beyond elated with it all,stories and pictures and documents and their handwriting,etc. I was so glad I was able to do that for her before she passed away a few years ago. The only thing I could tell her about her father was his birth certificate, the marriage license to her mother ...and the document when her mother divorced him.
I'm still researching him.....I refuse to give up! I actually found a marriage license from Indiana with his name and that wife last month but so far nothing has developed from it. But hey after 22 years I was thrilled to find something else about him!!
I let my aunt in Nevada know about it...she's in her 80's so I'm hoping I can find more about him before she passes away. 🙏
So onward and upward I go!

Thank you for this Linda! I definitely struggled with this DNA being the “hinkiest” thing that threw me off. This week is definitely pushing me away from any last bit of “there’s something strange and I can’t figure it out” I just didn’t y stand the DNA profile well enough!

First Time that DNA gets Tested, it's
Only Compared at 15-20 Areas on
the Genome. These Areas show
High Genetic Variation from Person
to Person.
When that Matches, then they go for
a Complete Match beyond those 15
to 20 Areas just to make Sure that
the Right Person is Caught.
