Good onya Jimmy - a great account of those days and huge respect to you as a well known excellent soldier and stick leader.
These interviews continue to be such a pleasure and so interesting to follow. Thank you Hannes and John for running these and setting the legacy.
Good man Jimmy and a super soldier. Lekker interview gents
Top of the range soldiers! Salute you chaps! 13 magazines when double tapping could go quickly - first 4 rounds in mag. tracer then ball - helped you see when to change mags!
Tap tap means something different to my 6SAI infantry. I spent the last days of RHODESIA in the gon re zou area just before Bob was voted in

Thank you so much for all these stories and insights of these brave men and our country.
Thanks for listening
Another excellent episode. Such lethal efficiency in introducing so many murderers to a 'better life', in almost overwhelming numbers.
Another great interview gents !!
Thank you for the insights. Two Hartley boys. Jimmy and his brothers at school with me and Johnâs old man whom I remember as the padre
Great Job John and looking forward to hearing more on Chimoio. Thank you
You got it!
Great to see you Jimmy being acknowledged for your services and putting your life on the line there will only ever be one Jimmy Swan Cheer mate!

Good talk
Thank you for yet another great interview, from an ex Rhodie now in WA đ Makorokoto đ
Another excellent episode, most insightful, well done!
Much appreciated!
Well done John (and Wessels). This is a great interview with Jimmy Swan. He certainly retains very clear and meaningful memories of all his incredible military experiences during his service in the amazing RLI. It is so interesting to hear all their stories via a live interview! I hold all these very brave men in the highest esteem. Thanks to you we can all about their âActs of Valourâ!
As always another fantastic interview. Thanks Jimmy, John and Hannes.
Keep well always.
Thanks Nick!
Thank you for this guys.
Thanks Hannes and Jim !
Thanks John and Jimmy, great to get the perspective from a 2 Commando Ouen. FYI Nyadzonya was August 76 and Mapai and Dingo both in 1977 (June and November) When Jimmy asks where the other Ouens were...Support Commando were the lead Commando into Tembwe as you commented John. Can I also commend you on your excellent summary at the end regarding the professionalism of the Battalion.
Thanks for that!
Honor, respect, and thanks to you all.
Much appreciated
Enjoyed this one. Two oaks reminiscing about being apart of a historical event/s that don't get enough recognition. Impressive op second to Dday.
Awesome stuff. So many Rhodies in Queensland, magic.
Soon Oz will face the same issues as Rhodesia. With Labor and other commies in power.
Brilliant chat
Hi John. Great interview as usual. Ive seen your interview with Hannes about his hunting day. When are you going to interview him about his RLI days?
