Honest to God, this morning i was looking for a video on the life of Saint George, all i could find was the video you made 12 years ago. Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!

Saint George’s day in England barely has anything to do with the man himself and is just a big nationalist rally for a man who never stepped foot in England. I think if it is restored as an important religious feast day and the story of the man is told more widely the day will gain the respect it deserves. This year there were more politicians and public figures wishing people happy Eid al-Fitr than Saint George’s Day, a day that is supposedly an important day for England.

When Ethiopian forces defeated the invading army of Italy, on Sunday 1 March, 1896 ,(YEKATIT 23,1888 E.C.) the Emperor Menelik led the army with the St George (Qidus Giorgis) church priests and fighters saying mass and chants in the name of the Saint. So, we do believe he is our Patreon saint , who protected our nation. Legend from the war front details the testimony of some enemy soldiers, who claimed having seen the Saint on the side and in the midst of Ethiopian army, which they couldn't defeat. The Ethiopian army was by far poorly armed with barely spears, swords and shields compared to the mighty ,well armed and modern Italian army.
So it is true St Giorgis is our Patreon saint.

St. George was truly a warrior. His heroic courage in the face certain suffering and death is what Christian warriors wish we could live up to. Thank you for sharing his legend with us. I have always heard of St. George but never took the time to learn about him. Very inspiring.

Actually my path to Jesus began by some miracles of St.George. I didn´t even knew before that he belongs to the helpers Saints. Just found a small image of George from some Georgian monastery on the table when I was really desperate for some problem I had. I prayed - even if I were not believer - and the next day something happened. O felt it was a miracle. I began to feel George very close. In another situation of very heavy health problem of a relative I prayed again. And the cancer disappeared. I had a third miracle happened as I visited a church on his name, that was enough. I am a believer now, and I want to be like George, I really love him. I want to fight like him for Jesus and our beautiful European continent, which belongs to Jesus.
Saint George please pray for us, protect us, and touch and heal us from the evils of today.

In Ethiopia there are countless churches in the name of Saint George. He is beloved martyr doing many miracles, healing many. you can't believe if I told you he has been healing many people from thier disease as much as hospital are doing. Come and see. ❤❤❤ ✝️✝️✝️. I sometimes wonder to myself are the saints hospitals in Ethiopia. Many heal from cancer, HIV and many other diseases.

🌿The amount of gruesome tortures he recieved at the hands of Diocletian for 7 straight years are beyond words can describe and mind can comprehend.

Absolutely incredible work! You can just see the fervor in St. George's eyes and feel his love for God in Marina's beautiful artwork. I also loved how you included his parents in the story. St. George is my patron saint, and I never knew his parents' names nor their stories. It was so interesting to learn about them. With all due love and respect, why didn't you mention St. Alexandra, the wife of Diocletian, who converted to Christianity, like many others who witnessed the miracles St. George experienced?

We could not find a historical source that showed Diocletian as having a wife named Alexandra but rather Prisca, who died years after Diocletian himself died. So, while we could have added it, we decided to focus mainly on Saint George. Another source said that Alexandra might have been the wife of a governor, so with all the ambiguity as stated above, we focused on George mostly

St. George’s legacy transcends time, and his story is more than just a footnote in history or a royal decree. He rightly takes his place as one of England’s patron saints, symbolizing the universal struggle between oppressive forces and the quest for true freedom. His tale inspires us to seek genuine liberation and justice in our own lives.
In the midst of a sweltering summer, a woman I knew found herself in need of urgent care for an injury. As she waited on a hospital bed surrounded by a curtain for privacy, a young male doctor, whose presence was as unexpected as a cool breeze, attended to her with gentle expertise. Under his thin white shirt, she noticed a tattoo of St. George. He told her his name was Dr George ________, and asked her to return in a week. But on her follow-up visit, the other staff said they had no doctor of that name. When they removed the dressing, her wound was completely healed, leaving no trace. A modern-day mystery, wouldn’t you say?
Whatever you make of her story, let’s honor the spirit of St. George, a beacon of courage for all!

There’re so many more details that made him the greatest of martyrs but thank you. There’s a monastery of St George in Northern Gonder in Ethiopia and the holy water, you can’t even begin to imagine what it does. St George takes care of his pilgrims. We felt his love and presence all the time and all my pain went away the day before I even reached there. A great martyr and a patron for Ethiopia.
