He punts fairly often, but he is 100% a respectable and entertaining player. Takes his small/medium losses on the chin, but makes them back from his table perception with one or two massive wins in the same session. He’s great to watch in these sessions as well as the celebrity poker streams.

@@instaves Yeah but it is not as likely given that he has a King in his hand. Every other hand that calls his river raise is going to have him beat besides maybe another AK. He is targeting a very narrow range that he can beat with that raise so its almost like he is turning his hand in to a bluff.

Mariano is a great player but in this hand he saw quite a fish, it seems that he did not follow the sequence preflop, flop, turn and river, look at this... with that flop he was polarizing his range to set or a bluff obviously weaker than Mariano's, bet small Taras flop, both check on the turn, Taras makes a medium bet on the river, then... keeping track of the hand as I told you (which is how it was) or alone You call on the river and you win that money or if you are willing to reraise it is because you are going to call all in since you have top pair, so why reraise if you think (which in fact is what the opponent was telling you with his initial flop bet) that the opponent has a set and not just an 8, one of the most poorly played hands that I have seen on this channel, what surprises me is that Mariano was the protagonist

bad fold, he trapped himself with the check raise. looked like he was bluffing and Taras then took that as weakness.. So Mariano did exactly what he wanted but FOLDED? two missed draws on the board and blockers to only possible hands of KK, AA that likely beats him.

it was risky but it went through b/c Mariano had the Ace of Hearts IMO, which eliminates good bluffing hands that Taras would make that kind of move with. So it appeared more likely Tara had the goods there.

If your going to raise, you need to be ready to call all-in. Otherwise, don't raise.

How do I get to play with the comment section? How come every hand that results in a bad result, they will tear down every move of the guy with the bad result? This is a pretty rediculous claim that a 3bettor that bet flop checked turn bet river doesn't have a king or pocket pair to call with. Mariano's raise is extremely standard, and it is not crying for a bluff, its a reraise pot sized bet... You will probably never see anyone that bluffs this spot in your lifetime, unless complete punter. Overall - if anyone of the keyboard warriors attacking Mariano's reraise because it invites a bluff/not calling because he is scared money, please, play poker with me

Every person saying Mariano shouldn't raise this river is a bunch of nits. His hand is so disguised, and there is no way that Taras put him on AK here. The only thing Mariano did wrong was not call Taras' all-in.
Would Taras really check back turn with AA, a straight, or a boat and then bet half pot on the river when a K comes? Hell no.
yeah sure raising on the river with top pair when the opponents 3bets you pre and reps AA-KK a lot of the time is a good play, even if he blocks those hands dont mean Taras wont have them sometimes. Check call was the play here 100%. Plus a check on the river from Taras would fit with AA-KK considering the low board that doesn't connect with both ranges alot of the time
