Kevin Rowlands voice is underrated to these ears - it's very rich. Have a listen to "Let's Get This Straight From the Start" or "Because of You", they have some amazing tunes.
They’re first 2 albums are legendary! A wonderful mix of northern soul, reggae influences, big band influences and Celtic folk. They had a few really big songs.
This song will always be the answer to a trivia question. It held the #1 Billboard spot on the US charts for the ONE week between Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and "Beat It".
They have other songs but this is a one hit wonder I think I can't remember anything else that was popular and I have a pretty good memory I hate to admit to my friends I kind of like this way back when this wasn't considered cool God bless oh God I secretly liked the spice girl's too back then
Here's one for a reaction, I know you like doing live vidz so here you are. These guys are contemporaries of Rush and from the same scene. They used to tour with Rush as openers in the 70s, they were a much different band though. They had a very loyal fan base that propelled guitarist Kim Mitchell into a long solo career after Max broke up, you might know of one of hi hits " Go for a Soda". Anyway...this is from a reunion concert in the 80s I think. czcams.com/video/a3RJnmTwjck/video.html
Stil kinda disapointed you won't do bloodywood - dana dan Cause it;s unique, confrontational and a new sound but ok.. Her's my daily thumbs up cause my mom likes this song 😉

In England they had many hits, but only Come on Eileen in the US.
This song is pretty simple. The singer and Eileen were childhood friends, but now that they're grown up the singer wants more.
'Toora-loora-loora' is an Irish lullaby. I thought everybody knew that.
maybe everyone in Ireland...
I was born in America but have Irish ancestry. I know a lot of people that knew that even though they don't really look into the culture much
Not Irish...lol...sorry lad
@@ronaldwilliams6927 if you read the lyrics, there is a phrase that says it's an Irish lullaby
@@ronaldwilliams6927lol except it actually is
This song was huge when it came out but it seems it's even a bigger hit recently 💖

Singer used to front a punk band "The killjoys" then developed this celt/soul fusion. They are definitely more than a 1 song band.
Yes but limited fame in America and only cause of this song we didn't get anymore from them here😉
Geno was their best song check it out
Very nice reaction 👍
Old stuff it's great!

The album before Too-Rye-Ay 1982 where Eileen is on namely Searching for the young soul rebels 1980 is supposed to be their best album😎.
I love you guys, so much. You make me laugh!
Thank Terry! 🧡
