You're right but at the end of the day, he didn't harm kids in any capacity, but the one that did and in the worst ways possible got less. Less than someone whose only crime if we're being brutally honest was having a gun in his pocket - not harming kids, and having no intention of harming kids. The time he got was fine, but in comparison to the nonce who not only had clear intent, but followed through and acted upon it, and assisted others in doing it... it's just so backwards there are no words for it.
