Chipotle sells chicken, pork carnitas, barbacoa, and 2 kinds of steak all as 4 or 6 ounce sides.
6 ounce portions:
-Extra Steak-$4.40
-Extra GG Steak-$5.70
-Extra Carnitas-$3.45
-Extra Barbacoa-$4.40
I am sure the chicken was even cheaper. You could get chicken and a steak for about $8.
**This was 24 ounces of cooked meat. 2 would have been plenty for me for dinner. I saved half for lunch the next day.
Without the rice the barbacoa was pretty spicy so I would get the chicken next time instead. I am also a wimp when it comes to spices though. The pork carnitas were not spicy at all!
Also shout out to the entire Chipotle staff at this location who was so fun and helpful!

I Just tried this at my local Chipotle in Clovis California and they said they don't do it. They said they never have sold 6 oz portions but I was welcome to have 4 oz sides. They were very nice, so no complaints. It cost me $16 for 12 oz of meat and a side of sour cream
The lady got lucky in this video...but Chipotle can't do that! I work for one....
We LOVE watching your videos and the tips and tricks you provide, thank you for what you do for the carnivore community! My husband and I just left Chipotle. We wanted to see what the prices were since you posted this in 22. We ordered 6 ounces each of carnitas, steak, and Barbacoa and shared a soda, total cost was $20.55, and we are in Lafayette, Louisiana. It was delicious and satisfying!

Seems scary to only eat meat products cuz we've been conditioned to believe the food pyramid. I'm guessing you hv to be relatively healthy when on this diet. Someone with my health issues would probably not fare as well.

Tried this today at a new chipotle close to my work. They wouldn’t let me order like that. I asked for an order of steak only and they wanted to charge me close to $5.00 for a small plastic sample size portion. Almost $10.00 if I wanted a cup half the size of what your showing. I walked next door and ordered two 1/4lb beef patties and two sides of bacon for $7.00 at McDonalds and was satisfied.
Same they offer a small sample size. I looked at her and said what am I supposed to do with that🤣

@@earthwaterfall1498That's an exaggeration. Nothing she asks for is unreasonable nor difficult. I know a restaurant chef and he has people make very outrageous requests that get down to the ingredients of processed foods they're using.
@@illselah no shed a nightmare rearranging the menu for her diet requesting things that are a "real menu items" she's bossy I'd hate to wait on her. I'd never give her requested prices that she does. The menu is the way it is for a reason.

Do this at your own risk! The chipotles in Orlando WILL not give you a six oz size and will charge 20.13 for 2 meats in the small container.

i was gonna say this. when i worked there the managers were very strict about servings so i’m surprised they gave her the large cups; you’re only supposed to get the 4oz cups because that’s the serving size. people used to ask if we could put it in the larger one instead but managers would just scoop it up with the smaller cup & put it into the large ones for accuracy.

@Texasgirlinacrazyworld I’m slowly eliminating things from my diet. However, I’m struggling with the fact that I don’t eat seafood and I don’t eat pork. That greatly narrows my options on what I’m able to eat on the carnivore diet. 🤷🏽♀️
I have Hashi's too. Keto or Carnivore is going to mess up your thyroid even more. You are already estrogen dominate. Go to Forefront Health. Tom Brimeyer has studied the thyroid for over 20 years. You need to eat a balanced meal and snack all the time. 50% carb, 25% each of protein and fat.

I would think you would have access to lots of awesome, delicious lamb there. As they say, eat meat, drink water! You can do it! I feel fantastic…starting my 6th month of carnivore. Tried Ketogenic regimen but it drove me crazy with all the constant calculations of “macros” … with this, it’s all about fatty meats, poultry, fish, eggs, butter, etc. Carnivore is so much easier.

Chipotle is not yet franchised...but they franchised one in the Middle East. Apparently this video is misleading! The red cups are only for queso and guacamole if you want large.

Carnivores absolutely eat sour cream. If it's from an animal, it's fair game. You may CHOOSE to limit YOUR carnivore further, but what she's eating is carnivore. Also, I'd venture to say there are a few "purists" out there who insist on salt only (and they're usually pompous bullies) but not one can explain why salt is fine but pepper is not. And most of us have no issue with spices - we actually like flavor.

This is really helpful cause my husband tried to order from Chipotle as a carnivore and he got a burrito bowl with just meat and cheese and it was like $22 for 8oz of meat. Lol

It's not good for your digestion and there's evidence to back it up. There's only a couple rare medical conditions that would require you do this. It's becoming more popular after Jordan Peterson and his daughter claimed it did a bunch of miracle stuff for them.

Just for information (not at all telling anyone what to eat) I went to see if they use seed oils and they do. Sunflower seed oil is used on the chicken and steak. And, the barbacoa uses rice bran oil. I know we all make choices and decide in what amounts we will eat any ingredients, so I want to tread lightly. I just felt duped when I learned this and wanted to share the information, respectfully. I avoid pufas because they cause me a great deal of inflammation but I can’t say I wouldn’t cheat on the occasion that there were limited food options from restaurants I could eat.
What about the carnitas?
I tried this on my way home from church today. I ordered 3 and side of guacamole.....mine was $30! I think I got ripped off.

Avocados are expensive, mind you, and this was already prepared into guacamole. Still expensive IMO.
I had the same thing happen to me. I ordered three meats. They put them in the side dish container and when I went to check out, they said, "We charge double for meat in the side dish container". My total came to $28. So, maybe there is a different way to say it when ordering to get the less expensive price?

I only learned 3 weeks ago that you can also do this at McDonald's and A&W. Can even get it lettuce wrapped if you are keto. It's handy to know if you're on the road on a long trip.

I went to the Chipotle yesterday by my job for lunch and they looked ate like I was speaking another language when I requested the meat in 6 oz sides 😏 I’m going to try another location today😊 Thank you for sharing.
I work for Chipotle, but not in your location and State, I am going to tell you, the red cups is only for queso & guacamole, if you want large. The meat goes in a 2oz or 4oz clear cups. Apparently the workers in this video was not very educated by the GM. So if a worker is looking funny to you at all locations, it may be the info I just gave here. It's not your fault. And certainly this lady here got lucky...but Chipotle can't do that.

Hello there. I love all your videos but the ones you explain how to order at places everyone can reach are Fantastic! I am always afraid of going out to eat. You most definitely make our experience way easier by showing all those possibilities. I just spent a week going to Disney parks. I have researched a bunch of videos to be able to figure my meals out and it was not so straight forward and I ended up failing. I wish you had the info here… (maybe a suggestion 😉) Once again, I very much appreciate your time in teaching us all how doable carnivore can be. Thanks 😊

@@tombirney7276 I meant jokingly because I think a lot people don’t know it is an option to buy just the protein. If more people knew that kitchen would get a lot busier. But you bring up a good point, it is the carbs where they make their margins.
You look so incredibly healthy. You are literally glowing. Your whole vibe seems so natural, authentic and based. With all the vegan and plant based youtubers there is always this subtle hint of neuroticism. Or you see it in their faces (mostly it's tired eyes or dark eye circles). Animal based is the way to go, for sure. I have never had better skin, mood and testosterone levels, since I started incorporating raw eggs in my every day diet.
The next step will be handling my insulin resistance for sure. Both of you give me enough evidence for what is really effective, since you are the living example
