Today on International #DayoftheGirl, we say do your thing, run the whole damn world! There’s nothing you can’t do. The girls on our team show us day in day out that they face every challenge and opportunity with courage, compassion, respect, honesty, integrity, fairness and accountability. They catch the bad guys and care for the vulnerable. They show us that policing is also a woman’s world.
To all those young girls out there that are wondering whether they too can wear this uniform, the answer is YES. Sometimes its hard to be what you can’t see so to every girl that dreams of being a police officer: we wanted to show you officers who were once little girls like you showing up to work every day at CPS to make this city and our community a better place. You were made for this.
