I think the chopper works better when you have more to chop your dad doesn’t get up to the blades when there’s not enough.

Mandy, there is an air pocket at the top/bottom of the can. You just slide a butter knife down the side to the bottom of the can to release the air. The sauce will just slide out of the can perfectly. It, also, works on the jelly so you can slice it neatly on your serving dish. Was raised near the Cranberry Capital, Carver, MA. It is quite a sight to watch them harvest the berries. Enjoy!❤
I make my own as did my mom. I have never eaten canned cranberry sauce. It is really ray to do whether it us whole berry or no berry (my favorite) and you can add orange, spices etc...personally I like it just cranberries, sugar & water.
6:17 according to Ocean Spray that air pocket in the can is there to make easy for the sauce to come out intact and not all broken up. As for apricot and caramel either pronunciations are right.
We have huge cranberry bogs here in Warren Wisconsin too I Love them , a lady I know makes cranberry everything, cranberry potpourri , candles, oils, sprays, oh the smell is amazing.

Here is an easy recipe: Little Smokey's heated in pepper jelly, I used red pepper and jalapeno pepper jelly (half jar of each). Nice spice and pretty with the red and green. You could use a whole jar of the red pepper jelly and dice up the jalapeno and put in.
Spend the whole afternoon with you, yes please!!!!
i think, for me, the pesto dish might work better with whole pastry rolled in a log and cut into slices. no sticks and cheese put on top before baking.

All these recipes look delicious. However, my hat is off to you, I wouldn't have the patience to make those Christmas tree things. And your stars might not have been perfect, but they were pretty good! The beauty of your channel is the fact that the recipes are easy, and while you admit to not being perfect, you do very well and that along with your family interaction, including Gracie Lou, is quite endrearing! 😊😊

Everything looks delicious. I should have expected to see your precious Gracie, my cat Benji passed away last night and when Gracie meowed, I just broke down all over again. She sounded just like him. He was 16 years old and I've had him since he was born. I'm feeling so lost not having him at my feet.

That is so the cranberry cans can be stacked easily. If you poke a hole with an old fashion bottle opener in the 'bottom' of the cranberry can, doesn't matter which type, it slides out easier. HA! And using the damp towel trick, love it. I'm sure more people than just myself mentioned it. Another great vid.

Hi Mandy and Steven. I enjoy your videos so very much. I’ve been binging on your programs lately to distract me from some issues. On No 16 I had my right hip replaced. Went home the afternoon of No 18, fell in the middle of the night and went to the hospital in an ambulance. I’ve been here ever since because I broke a bone in my pelvis. Probably be here another couple of weeks. Your programs give such a boost. The joy and laughter are contagious. Thank you for being there.

Mandy The Apple Caramel dip was a super hit. Delicious. Cranberry apricot spread was better the next day because the fruits mellowed and it was delicious. Yummy. Thank you.
Edit: I made the cheese spread, the caramel cream cheese dip and the meatballs. They all three were a hit. And each took minimum time to make. Thank you for allowing me to not have to stress about what to make!

I recently heard a DJ tell about the upside-down cranberry labels-apparently there’s an air bubble in the bottom of the can so when you open the end that’s openable, you will break the vacuum seal and the contents will slide out easily.

We got a bunch of snow here in northern Michigan, so I think I'm going to hop on my snowmobile and ride down to our little grocery store in town. The roads have been plowed, but they leave a shoulder for snowmobiles during the winter.
I'm an old lady (about to turn 60 this month), but I don't let that slow me down! 🤣

Hey Mandy just a little tip for you if you get a can of something and it won't come out like you did with the cranberry take one of those old can openers that just punches a hole & puncture a hole in the opposite end and it will slide right out like butter, it will also work for the canned soups. 👩🦳😁💜

Hi Mandy, I have one of those choppers you used for the nuts. You have to pull the string all the way out to really get those blades inside to spin and chop. Four to five pulls on the chopper should so it for most things. Hugs

It all looks so good. Just love your guys. Little missy is so cute. I can tell you a secret when I was little my Nany told me not to worry about strange or not perfect cookies,cheese ect. Canned cranberry sauce is packaged the way it is so that when you open it, it easily comes out... as long as you've stored it with the label right-side up.
