This song is about the folly of Mankind. I grew up listening to this song - a strong warning of the foolishness of Man.
I remember this song when it came out in 1969. Gave me the chills back then and now really gives me the creeps.
The song "Barry McGuire Eve of Destruction", came out then and is still relevant today.

This version of 2525 used the old silent classic Sci Fi movie Metropolis for the video. There is another version that sounds the same with more varied Sci Fi imagery that I like better.

Even more impressive that none of the creators of the video, the song and the movie have been alive at the same time.
