  • Welcome to another video where this time we are going to create a realistic watercolour painterly effect. The effect uses Adjustment layers and Live Filters so it's going to be fully adjustable when saved in layers as an .afphoto. Using this technique you have the choice of either producing a straightforward watercolour or you could try producing a surreal watercolour effect.
The video has chapters making it easier to find the part you need.

Wow, David. Many thanks for preparing this video. I especially like the step by step clear approach, and the clever use of the mesh tool. I haven't seen this anywhere else and can see other uses for it. As a new intermediate user this is a real help. Much appreciated.

Thank you so much for this video. It's very clear and easy and the results are amazing. Liquify is a fun tool but I have to be patient because it's very, very slow. One question. why do you use such a complicated zoom tool. In settings you can change it into scrolling in and out with your mouse. So easy.

Pleased to hear that you enjoyed the video. The Liquify tool is memory hungry and there is a huge amount of calculations going on which is why it can run slow on some systems. As for the scroll wheel, yes you're right and it's the same with my magic mouse but as not everyone uses a scroll wheel or even a mouse so I tend to leave it to the keyboard which hopefully covers all bases. @@davro06 Thank you for your answer. In the meantime I discovered the Liquify Persona. That works a lot quicker.
