Nice work on the video. really grasped the story.
Went to East which was Finalnd, and back then it was mostly just a wilderners with full of swamps, forests, lakes and rivers... very hard terrain to move back then. Thats why Vikings tried to move inside Finland from southerns rivers and going up...which ended badly.

Keep in mind that we were one people back then, the reason most people set sail from norway is the coastline, also all the war isn't documented so there is no way to say for sure, but Norway as we know it today was an amazing force back during the Viking age, especilary around Bergen.
It's kinda funny that on every sabaton video there is ALMOST ONLY discussion about old wars. xD

The Norse Culture actually spread from Scandinavia to parts of Russia (Holmgard), the British Isles (especially in the region of York or Jorvik as it was called back then), Normandy (the French King gave them the area in return for protecting his realm from further Viking attacks) and some other places. The Norse even travelled to the Byzantine Empire where they where hired by the Emperor as his personal bodyguards, the Varangians.

We might compete and make bad jokes each others, but on the end, i bet we will defend each others. At least for my self, i think nordish countries are like brothers , even we have small agreement problems, but in tough situation. we are together. like you said, cant wish any better neighbours.

I was in a camp of viking freefighters not so long ago. It was wonderful (tought I went back with some bruises :D fight is fun!), wonderful in all, BUT the music. There was a damn dj who passed only shitty tracks (No kidding, "YMCA" was the best thing we could have, just to say >_

In fact, the title of our Monarchs is "Sveriges, Götes och Vendes Konung."
In essence the title mentions that he is king of the realm of the Swedes, but also the land of the Götar/Geats. That part originates from when the time before the nation was truly one realm. Today it has no signifiance as such, since we're a unified country, but the title remains.

Yes, although we Scandinavians compete in many different things, and often we compare ourselves with each other. There is often a little hatred involed too. But when all is said and done, we can not wish for better neighbors than you here in the north. That's at least how I feel as a Dane.

Actually, plundering was quite common in every army, all armies till just recently (about early 1800) plundered because it was easier to do then to bring huge supply lines after you.
But the vikings was sticking out since the *gasp* plundered churches and temples.
Then they took what the plundered (often from english and french areas) and sold it to the people in turkey and arabia.

I don't know much about American tanks, I mainly research German(like the Tiger 2 or the E series) or Russian tanks(like the IS-2 or the IS-3).
but playing World of Tanks helps understand different tanks because they have all of those tanks in there, which you can use and research through the game. I also use to make models of tanks but mainly German tanks not American.

yep you are right.... Vikings got some basic camps, but local (English) got them finally away.
Okay, I didn't mean the Danes totally destroyed them or anything. I meant there was a time during the "Viking Age" when Danish kings pretty much ruled all of Scandinavia. Basically, the Norwegians and Swedes had to bow to their will. It may not have lasted long, but it did happen. But as far as I know, the Swedes weren't interested in England or Ireland. I believe the Danes and Norwegians fought each other for control of Ireland. The Swedes went east to do their thing.

There were 3 major people's in Sweden before the founding of our nation. The first two were the Geats (Götar) of the West and East. The third ones, called the "Svear" ("Swedes") subjugated the other two.
Rike, back then spellt with a G, means Realm.
So, the name Sverige means Realm of the Svear, or rather.. Realm of the Swedes.
Same as Norge (Norway) is an adaption that has come over time from "Realm of the North", or "Northern Realm."
Okay, that makes sense, but your other comment made it sound like there wasn't a way to differentiate between Danes, Swedes, Norwegians, etc. They may not have had "countries" like we do today, but they were definitely competing with each other. They were not just one big happy family. The Danes had their realm(s), the Swedes had theirs and so on.

When I saw them live Joekim said something along the lines of 'we wanted to make a song about our native country, but ever since the vikings we have been pussies and remained neutral so we had to go all the way back!' This explains the title I think ;)
