@@marywilliam869 Depends on what you consider good. The ending is both tragic and kind of wistful. I am usually someone who only likes a happy ending, but I think in this case it really fits the series, so I didn't regret watching the whole show (unlike some others). Without giving any spoilers, I can only say this: it will definitely make you cry. However, the very last minute of the show ends on a hopeful note. It's a beautiful story about love that transcends time & death, and I would really recommend to watch it. Hope this helps ;)

Nerjaveika that plot is quite complex, in short words, the way that long life holy device work is it has to use one person’s life to give to the other one, the total of life cannot be increase, so in this case, Shen is sharing his life with yunlan to heal him. And every time they use any holy device it’s harmful to the body, so Shen took all the bad effect from yunlan due to using the device.
Nerjaveika Then because the damages to Shen was too bad due to the usage of holy device, he had to make himself fully bleed out and then regenerate new blood himself. (In the drama it used energy instead of blood, but it’s actually blood as you can see Shen cut himself with nife)
Nerjaveika may this is way beyond brotherhood or bromance, sometimes not even lovers can sacrifice themselves for the other half, Shen truly cares about yunlan much more than himself

I have not read the novel. Nerjaveika has given us a possibility based on their expressions and situations in which the pair find themselves. Though if you watch closely you'll notice that Little Guo surprises his companions with his compassionate comments as he talks with the victims as Li Wei when she's in the hospital or the husband in Episode 6. And it is Old Chu who is impressed by Little Guo's comments to the husband. So we'll just have to wait, watch and see! Hope that's not too confusing!

If you search Dailymotion.com for Guardian Eng Sub, you should be able to find whatever has been subbed already. It's not very many episodes yet.
