Whoever did the sound mixing, needs to stop immediately! The narration was awkward, the music either too loud or too cumbersome, which combined made for an uncomfortable viewing experience
I had to skip this video by 3 minutes. The background music is way too loud, the narration cannot be heard and volume fluctuates.
What do you expect from someone who goes around masked!
@michaelboldys3330 we expect the sound engineer to do their job and do what all competent sound engineers do to allow for something like a mask.
That being said, the off camera narration is equally as bad, so obviously the mask isn't the problem.
@@michaelboldys3330 It had nothing to do with the mask, in the first two minutes, it is narration. The narration was terrible. I didn't even reach the part with masks.
You guys are whiny bitches
Can we please please get this fellow a good audio engineer?? This the second of his videos, which I really like, with horrible audio. I can hear him better than the last one BUT that is only when the music isn't overpowering and drowning him out.
Also side note, gourgues hair has last time! That and your voice are immediately cued me into it being another one of your famous videos.
I agree. It's music with a voice in the background.
Thank you for bringing this to the attention of those who hopefully care! I’ve been playing with the sound modes on my sound bar to try and hear more of his oration and LESS of the loud music, to no avail. This is happening a lot, lately. Other content providers I follow have the same issue: background music overpowering their voice. It’s oddly comforting to know it’s not just me. Thank you!!
I put this video on while working on herbs. I could not follow it well due to the overlay of the music and the softness of presenter’s voice. It’s not surprising to find others with the same comments. I won’t give it a “thumbs down” but cannot give it a “thumbs up”. Absolute History is usually so good at presentation.
The audio level is so bad...
“ if it’s to loud , you’re to old “
@@Z3nHolEminD the music drowns out the narration completely at certain points. It overlays instead of accompanies….do you understand that difference?
Have you ever heard about the pharaoh's curse? It's quite a mysterious tale that surrounds the tombs of Ancient Egypt, particularly that of King Tutankhamun. Legend has it that when Lord Carnarvon, the financial backer of the excavation of King Tut's tomb, died under mysterious circumstances, rumors spread about a curse that affected those who disturbed the pharaoh's rest. Some attribute these mysterious deaths to the mold or ancient toxins present in the sealed tombs, while others love to speculate that it may indeed have been the work of something more supernatural. The enigma of the pharaoh's curse continues to be one of Egypt's most enduring and captivating mysteries.
Lord Carnarvon died because of infected mosquito bites, not mould inhalation.
In the dry, sandy deserts of Egypt, mould was never a problem.
The “mould explanation” is a futile attempt to explain the many, mysterious deaths following the excavation.
Yeah, the pharaoh's curse. Amazingly, every person who was present when Tutankhamen's tomb was opened died... over the next 70 years. Look it up, no one died mysteriously, no one died quickly. Even Carnarvon himself, who died six months later from an infected mosquito bite, was a very common cause of death at the time. It wasn't "rumours spreading", it was one very fanciful newspaper story. There wasn't even any kind of "curse" inscribed on the walls, it was a very standard type of tomb.
Tell me something: Why would Carnarvon, who wasn't even there the day they opened the tomb and came to visit a week later, would die while Carter, who actually opened the tomb and was the first one inside, didn't?
Don't be silly.
sanctimonious counterclaims directly from the archives of wikipedia 😎🫵
pious science is antithetical and tbh, it’s boring af. your comment + OP could have made a nice, well-rounded story together if you weren’t so offended by a little folklore
I feel like I just spend all day turning volumes up and down...
Do you want us to enjoy yr VERY LOUDED music or listen to the stories it narrated?!
Even with headphones on the music is often very loud and drowns out the narration I love this videos but they are hard to listen to at times
The sound balancing is pretty bad
unwatchable due to sound...
Horrible sound. Narration is way to quiet. Didn't make it 3 minutes.
sound mixers from craigslist be like:
Music is way too loud and can hardly hear the man talking. Ridiculous
Wow! You can almost hear what the guy says! Definitely need to turn up the music more!
What an interesting video! How strange that the Vatican would have so many Egyptian relics! Do they also have relics from other places in the world? I had no idea this existed.
Which ancient relics the one's in the sarcophagus or the ones that roam around the Vatican? How do you tell once set of mummified stiffs from the other?
It actually makes sense. Rome took over Egypt. I can't imagine the beautiful artifacts that are hidden. Things that will never be seen. I've been to Egypt 6 times, it's my obsession. And all the trustworthy people told me Rome got all of Egypt's secrets, best treasures, and most intricate artwork.
Many of the beliefs and practices from ancient Egypt were included into both the Hebrew and Christian beliefs the concept of an afterlife( resurrection) the virgin birth, the notion of having to bury an entire body and not cremation, even to the ending of a prayer withAmen( Amun). Egyptian temples had outer and inner rooms with a special place for the holy of holies. In Hebraic tradition this was the ark of the covenant that became the ark in which the torah is kept. In Catholicism, it is the tabernacle, which is the name for the chamber of the holy of holies in Hebrew, in which the hosts are kept. The use of music in ceremonies. In Egyptian, it was the Chantress, in Hebrew the Cantor and in Christianity the Choir. Different name same function.
The background sound disturbs me a lot because narration is very quiet.
And most important thing: the video doesn't answer the question what for and why there are so many pagan Egyptian artifacts in the Vatican?
I understand it was once a part of Rome and a part of pagan imperium's capital but now Vatican is considered as a capital of Catholic Christian world.
I can't hear you. The music is too loud! Can't watch, music to loud
Doesn’t need music.
unwatchable due to very bad sound mixing
Background music is a little loud
I was at the Vatican 🇻🇦 only a couple of months ago and it's amazing the museums there. Walking into the main hall I stopped and looked up for ages, absolutely breathtakingly beautiful ❤
Can we please loose the music?? I can barely hear at times
Ptolemy wasn't a descendant of Alexander the Great, he was one of Alexander's generals.
How many more inaccuracies are in this documentary that I just didn't catch?
the music in the background around 10:00 sounds like it’s straight out of black ops 2 😂 i mean i like that kind of stuff but it doesn’t seem fitting for this documentary with all the dubstep noises
Can't hear
This knowledge continues and expands
YESSSS ‼️
I’ve always wondered 🤔
This is rather useless. The music is louder then the narration.
It is unethical for the Vatican to continue to hold these objects, and refuse to repatriate them. Not only does it continue the history of its long history of raiding other cultures, but as a religious organization there is a clear conflict of interest in its stewardship of competing ideas.
Such distraction from bg music
❤ Nice to know more about history.
Thank you Curtis!
Misleading title, to say the least. This video does not in any way discuss, speculate, or even mention WHY the Vatican chose to preserve these items. It is only a tour of the Vatican's Egyptian theft collection, no analysis at all and only a very brief history of the items and general cultural context.
Narration audio is too light compared to the background music.
thievery.
What Utopia do you come From ?
@@jimmyhvy2277 are you trying to say taking things that are not yours even if you do "represent " god is not thievery? i guess when your org diddles the littles breaking the 8th commandment isn't a big deal.
EAch item is worth millions of dollars
Can't hear this
Shortage of staff 😅
Yet he still wearing a mask haha
The music is from another channel. Brief History.
You are not saying why they have those there. The video makes no sense 😕
You are just repeating what most know.
So is the catholic church going to give Egypt back its treasures?
It annoys me the way they talk about the Nubian mummy. The reason they have it is some Italian antiquarian went through the Nubian pyramids and blew them all up. Sending them back isn't a slippery slope at all. They were stolen. Send them back.
If Hellen Keller can graduate, you can figure out the god damn audio.
Fix it, bro.
Wow, got jumpscared by the bad mixed volume of the music two times. It really is hard to listen to this guy, just fangirling about whatever he sees. Good for him to be enthusiastic, I understand the feeling, but is a amateur "egyptologist" really what this show should go for? He tries to make things up to make them sound more interesting and unique than they are.
The Romans did adapt Egypt culture? Wow. This is called syncretism and can be seen all over the world.
Another thing I find not very scientific good practise is to point things out as facts in archaeology. There are a lot things we can only assume and we should be very careful on how to state these things. It would be better to refer to them as interpretations than as facts that now stick to the peoples mind (if they were able to hear him, as stated out in other comments).
I hope you will find a better person for the sounds in videos and that you will find a real egyptologist to work with you instead of an Ancient-Egyptian-fanboy who is just good at selling himself, dancing around in museums and touching artefacts.
Loose the music , gave up with this after a few minutes
1 Peter 5:8
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
King James Version (KJV)
Psalms 115:5
“They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:”
King James Version (KJV)
Jeremiah 50:38
“A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.”
King James Version (KJV)
I'd rather listen to a plain narration than this :/
Then go elsewhere
WHAT DID YOU SAY??? 👂 Can’t hear a damn thing! 😡
As others noted, stopped watching because of the sound levels.
I liked the music it was absolutely perfect so goth like.....love it! Perfect ❤
They should leave relics in the country of origin
The bodies should be left in peace!
If you dig up a recently buried body….you are a body snatcher.
If you dig up ancient buried bodies….you are an archaeologist
Never really answered the reason why
Opium den narration
the immaculate conception is not about mary conceiving christ…
Because they were stolen
The Vatican 🙄
The music sucks!!!!!!!!
Its 2024 and dudes wearing mask. I hope it was so he didnt drool on anything . I would have been drooling haha
Why not? It makes no less sense than London, Paris and Berlin.
So like as a Scorpio female I decided that I completely totally am claiming Selkeit The Scorpion Goddess as like, well, mine.
And I say it is spelled that way.
Like that's just mine now.
So, like, find your own Goddess to envibe as yours.
Selkeit is taken.

WHY? The Catholics know the secret hidden truth: Religion Evolves Over Time. Moses, was schooled in the Cult of Amun, the religion of Ramses, as a child. This monotheistic religion had 19 commandments. So Moses removed the commandments about being kind to slaves, which were unnecessary. He removed others which were redundant, and ended up with The 10 Commandments. He further streamlined the religion to make his God symbolize a Heavenly Father, and thus invented Judaism. Then of course Jesus was a Jew, and after his martyrdom, up sprung the New Testament. So after further evolution this religion became Catholicism. Amen.

2nd to comment 😂
The narrator is awkward ASF, how did he get this job??
He is an actual Egyptologist & he does these films himself🤓
@@meganh4011 well he's obviously very smart and the info is interesting but no well delivered. He should hire a narrator
I always have to speed him up cuz I find his slow, stilted narration style very irritating.
The narration is unbearable on this. Just talk like a normal person ffs.
To those who actually know anything about such matters, this is utter rubbish. It is fakery and anti/Catholic misinformation. Don’t be suckers. This material is as inaccurate as it is cheesy and poorly produced. That should’ve been your first clue!
I would have loved to know about this, but the person narrating is just bad.
Well I tried , but no , sadly I had to give up on this video .
I thought this was very interesting. The sound was fine just as the narration. Soothing voice!
Some people are just nasty. There is a way to say constructive criticism in a polite manner. These rude people don't have a clue!
I feel targeted 😅
objectively the audio levels are off. that is just a fact. if they sounded good for you, then you are lucky and/or have a higher ability to ignore background noise.
do you want to speak with my manager?
Can't hear a damn word. Ease up on the music a bit, and maybe learn to project if you're going to work as a public speaker.
I mean no offense, but can we not have this presenter anymore?
He is terrible.
This guy is awful.
