My favorite thing about these Continental sketches are that you get to see Christopher Walken completely commanding the screen with his wonderful comedic timing and charm. Probably the only SNL host who pulls this off so effortlessly.
Mr Walken is the ultimate actor, and brilliant with comedy. A treasure

It's not Hartman. He died in 98
@@dianamolnar5672 I remember him dying, yes. Hence why I said it made me sad. They reused the old title clip that included his voiceover that he did years ago

The Continental is a legendary sketch, each one is so funny, between the accent, camera angle shots, the gloves, it always made me crack up seeing it live & I'm laughing again. Walken is freakin awesome!
I've always loved the accent. Walken does a Brooklynese feigning a European, to perfection. I also love the many rushes towards the door, with the Continental always getting there first. Lol
I LOVE Christopher Walken in anything, but these Continental sketches are the best. Sexy man.
He has an incredible sense of humor and humility. He doesn't take himself so seriously that he can't do shows like SNL and when he does SNL he's such a pro. I've never seen him break character, ever.

I love The Continental. The one where she uses the bathroom, looks in the mirror, then The Continental lights up a cigarette and it illuminates him behind the two way mirror is one of the funniest bits ever shown on SNL. I haven't been able to find that particular one. If anyone happens to know which episode that is I'd be forever in your debt if you could pass that on for me. You'd be my new favorite person.

That was my favorite of all time.
