    Great video bro. You pretty much gave me some insight on how to submit my cards to BGS. The packing part of the submitting is what concerns me the most. What the cards grade is all in fun and hopefully something comes back a 10, which is what we’re all hoping for. Granted some will come back lower grades, but shouldn’t matter if some are for your personal collection. Regarding your very last comment about the number grade towards the end. I’ve come to notice that a lot of older cards from the mid 80’s and older are starting to see popularity with 9’s. Being that 9.5 and 10’s are nearly impossible to get for these years and sets. Prime example: 1986 Topps Jerry Rice. So a 9(with or without a couple of high subgrades) in the long run isn’t always a bad thing especially if you do it for long term investment as well. 👍🏼

    Beckett allows you to submit your cards on a excel file as well; which is WAY easier if you are semi-familiar with basic functions on excel. I'm pretty sure BGS then takes that and enters it into the system; which is why now they are STRONGLY encouraging people to online submit.

    I’ll be honest with you, the last 4 cards (separate orders) I sent to BGS with the Premium and Express services, I only used the Ground shipping service. Every time, after I got the shipping notification, it only took 2 or 3 days to get them. I’m not sure the express saver will get them to you any faster than that. Also, a paper cutter works great for cutting the cardboard. Not just for grading submissions, but if you sell any raw cards in top loaders or as added protection for graded cards. Super easy to cut it to size. Great video though. Really enjoy your content.

      I've seen Beckett slab 54 Sports Illustrated cards as 'auth altered' which would be pretty good, but cust svc said they won't. Also, '37 Joe Dimaggio and '50 Jackie Robinson flip books are eligible, I wonder if they'll grade a card from the flip books as altered (since it's only 1 page from a flip book.) Those are my main interest in Beckett, since my signed Nolan Ryan rookies seem to have a better valuation in a PSA holder and most of the things I can think of PSA has a stronger valuation than BVG in general. The only downside is that PSA seems to be dropping high grades for qualifiers with the same grading system everyone uses. If it's the manufacturers fault, it should be a qualifier grade. I have a sharp centered card with a stain and another with a blue slurpie print defect (both dual signed Nolan Ryan rookies.)

    • @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR
      @GRADEDCARDINVESTOR  Před 3 lety +1

      Sub-grades are what Beckett is known for so the majority of collectors do like them, however, they are not required on some cards. I have a few BGS graded cards I bought without sub-grades that were BGS 9.5. On some cards, you definitely want to have them but for most it's not that important. Lebron James Exquisite RPA YES get them, 2018 Panini Prizm Jayson Tatum SIlver Prizm - Not that important... Get my drift?

    Today I just submitted to beckett and I forgot to check one of the box in the middle for grading. What should I do?

    Dude filling it out manually sucks. They just created an online form for auto authentication so hopefully it will be available for grading soon.

    I sent 5 cards at the 20 day turnaround time last October (obviously wasn't expecting them back in 20 days lol) but just last week out of nowhere I got charged for my submission... so I'm wondering if that means my cards are graded and getting returned to me? I honestly have no clue and I can't get any real answer from calling bgs.
    Edit: It would be great if they would have updates concerning submissions on you're profile... :/
