Can this Camera be installed with Union Cam security monitoring software? I think I need the IP hard coded with custom port; will this camera allow for this?
Could someone help me out I bought two of these and I can only get one to work and the other won’t scan the bar code so I could get it connected . Any ideas
Anyone knows how to fix the issue of this camera going to Sky mode after a couple of days. Position Reset fixes the problem for a day or two but then the ceiling loving camera goes back to sky mode
Mine are on the way. Do you know the maximum size SD card they take? How long is the cord and can you use an extension if necessary?

You showed that the camera will go back to a preset position after you manipulate its position but will it also go back to a preset position after it has track somebody on its own without you being involved?
With the wyze cam pan v3, you can set waypoints where it will auto rotate to every few seconds... Then you go into detection settings and set the detection zone on whichever waypoint it is showing at the time. Once you set a detection zone, the camera will default to that waypoint as it's "home" view.

How is it at accounting for events when it is is pan/scan mode? I am thinking the cams motion would cause issues with motion based event detection.
I haven't tested that thoroughly Brian, so I can't really tell you. I do imagine that hinders detection and might even block it during that time
Cold weather outdoor operation?? As in -25C cold?? I live in Edmonton. Would be great in the backyard but suspect oit might freeze motionless. Thx
You'd think. But I live somewhere just as cold and nope. Just protect it and it's fine through 99% of days
Got the camera myself and my only complaint is the panning feature can't have it's speed adjusted. While you can control the speed when you direct where it goes, the auto pan feature is a default speed that's a bit too fast. Is this adjustable or will it be patched later on? Still a good camera but that feature would make it so much better.
That takes a different motor, I think. So I think it won’t get changed on this version!
Had to return after one day. Would not stay connected to wifi? I have the Wyze camera v3 that was what i replaced with pan cam and that never loses wifi
It wouldn’t scan, and under that I saw it will not take 5G cell phone. That’s weird. Most people have 5G now.

Can this camera be set stationary? Where it only focuses on an item? I had two of them outside of my apartment because of my car being vandalized. An Apartment manager told me I can't have it there and recording people. Only if it is on my car. Can I do this?

Wyze has a PC monitoring site now, but you'll need a subscription to get access to it. It's still in beta
I bought one of these cams on Jan. 27, 2024 for my daughter. It says has night color vision. Her cam stays in black and white. We turned on the IR setting and still in black and white. We reset it and still does not show color night vision. Any suggestions? Thank you for the video very informative.
Color Night Vision does require a little bit of light to work. Basically, the camera recreates colors when it can tell what the colors should be. Add a small night light to the space and you might find things better
I'm trying to setup the wyze cam v2 for the second time and the camera just isn't responding, the first time I was able to carry out the setup without any hazzels. How do I setup the camera again ? The part where the camera responds ready to connect is where I'm stuck at. Kindly revert.
Look up how to do a factory reset. I believe you just hold the setup button while plugged in for a while

I don't actually! I think if it's creaking though I'd be talking with Wyze's support team immediately. Sounds like it could be failing on you.

@@TechYourLife1 the cams are powered by USB cables, right? Do you run them through the house to a central hub outlet for power?
@@DblOSmith Normally I'd just run to a single USB outlet myself. I'd use an adapter, or a smart power bar with USB outlets. :)
I’m having an issue I rotate my camera a full 180 then try to go back another 180 and it gets stuck

Can the Solar Panel be used with this camera? I haven't found that specific info about this version. Thanks for the video.
No I don't believe so. There's no battery on board to charge anyways and solar power can dip in terms of provided amperage
@@TechYourLife1 The Wasserstein Solar Panel does have a battery in them. It works for the Wyze outdoor V3 that has no battery in the camera like this Pan V3. I will have to try it and see if the amperage is good for this Cam Pan V3. Thank you for your response and your review is very helpful.

Is the AI built into the camera or is the AI on the wyze server side? I plan to stick this on the dashboard of my car so it won't be connected to the internet. Just wondering if all of these fancy things will still work if I have cam plus set up but no internet while my car is away from my garage
Most functions with the Wyze cam will require the internet, but the local movement will occur on the device.

There's a setting in the app to invert the view. You're good to go

I bought Wyze camera when I tried to connect it it said will not take 5G. Did they sell me a bad one or are they all that way?
They are all that way. They connect only to 2.4 GHz WiFi from your home.

Mine says motion detected when the notification comes up. But it’s not the right time. It goes for shadows.
You could take down sensitivity, but if it continues, you might wanna try a month of the AI detection features with cam plus
@@TechYourLife1 I’m use to my crappy ring doorbells. I did turn sensitivity down and set it so it only does people, let’s etc. I paid the $20 for the yr. I think I got the normal plan. I only have the one Wyze camera.

It's OK. I wouldn't rely on color night vision to be 100% accurate though

Sounds like the 2FA isn't working right
im not techy, but what i learned through my internet provider tech help (Jason that works at Spectrum) he had me enter the old internet password when setting up the camera. Jason had me all hooked up and running in under 3 minutes.
@@TechYourLife1 after hours and hours of trying to figure it out a tech guy from Spectrum helped me. he said to try using the old password from the internet set up. 2 minutes later the camera was hooked up. who'da thought an old password!? this might be something to add to the arsenal of tricks to hook up a camera :)

So, this isn't all correct. You get the app, sign up THEN click on ADD NEW DEVICE.
So, now I put my pw in and don't get any further than that.
Is there a way to Disable the Siren function? I just wouldn’t like a remote user to set it off just to see if it works.
