Dimash is putting his own spin all the time on cover songs and that what makes me want to listen to it and realized the song is actually beautiful.
The belted slide to go even higher at 8:12 (very quick one) and especially 8:15 kill me everytime!!! Not only does Dimash somehow modulate even higher (just when you thought he was at his limit) while already belting high in a mixed voice but he also incorporates such an incredible 80's metal/rock tone!

I think this is a half step down, but even so its pretty crazy how big the guy's range is and those top notes at the end are insane

Yup......Dimash is a MALE singer than can sing better and more powerful high notes than female singers.....AND he has the advantage of fully supported bass and baritone too....and the sterling clarity of his vocals plus the depths of his vocals are second to none and that's what makes him different. Throw in mastery in vocal dynamics, vocal embellishments, commanding stage presence, fantastic ability to drawn in the attention of audiences, to communicate with his audiences effectively eventhough his English are not that good nor perfect....he's a winner on stages anywhere.

Excellent cover: Have you guys met the female Dimash? If not let me introduce her to you. Her name is "SO HYANG" she's from Korea. She and Dimash are the two premier "EARTH ANGELS" of this world. She sings for the comfort of people not for money and fame. Yes, she is very Religious. She is a Cancer survivor. Some of her songs are "BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER" "ARIRANG ALONE" "LEAN ON ME" and that's with Michael Bolton watching her. She does her OWN arrangement for band, instruments, everything. She can do and does everything including song writing. I often imagine her and Dimash doing a concert and how magnificent it would be!!! Arirang Alone is almost Korea's National Anthem, both north and south love their folk song. Well So Hyang totally revamped it. If you want to know if So Hyang is an Earth Angel, watch the first two minutes carefully and watch her eyes her smile her heart her voice and see if you agree. You will not be disappointed!! What a phenomenon. This guy is by far the most overrated singer of all times. Yes, his technical abilities are overwhelming but that's it. How does almost no one ever hear how wrong he sounds? Unpleasant, unmusical, no feeling, high notes squeaking, mechanical vibrato, all technical. Like a robot hitting every note spot on but without any musicality at all.
Sorry if I sounded harsh but try to really listen to what he's doing and you might get it.
Others disagree with you. We hear all the things you don't. But that's ok, nobody likes every singer in the world.
Wtf do you mean “that’s it”? No one is touching this singer on any basis of vocal skill or technique and that in itself is why he is considered the best singer. Most of the fucking time when you’re the most skillful at something, you are considered the “best”, no shit. I get it, he doesn’t sing the way you want that pleases your mind and soul, that’s too bad, but don’t take away from the fact that his vocal ability is absolutely unheard of from any singer we’ve seen.
