as someone who just started watching her stuff - literally binged watch 5-6+ hours yesterday - it is a bit annoying seeing 50% of Dimash, 30% Nightwish and I am a huge nightwish fan but there is a thing as too much. Her reaction and explanation is amazing. Love to see how react and talk about other singers / musician / compositions outside of Nightwish/Dimash. Don't let the product become stale and switch it up.
Like you can still do Dimash and Nightwish but not back to back to back to back. Mix it up with other artists and then go back to a Nightwish/Dimash if at all.

@@novercalis4846 here is the crux of YT Reactors....its their channel to do as they wish with. 💜🤗💜 So instead of complaining and spreading hate about an artist (generalization here NOT directed to you personally 😊) just move on to other Reactors. They don't have to answer to any of us. I have some Reactors that I LOVE who have done very few Dimash (and I hope everyday they will do more). My preference is watching him over other artists so when they do react to him I like and comment every time! ❤ When they are doing other artists I just scroll past them. I think she was being respectful - it was more to just highlight something he could do better in regards to one thing. She's almost never criticized his English, and she also noted he sings in a dozen languages, and how much better he has become in English at any rate. It was probably 30 seconds of criticism (which was more a note than anything else) and 95% gushing praise at the one of the (if not the) world's best singer.

Another excellent reaction, Elizabeth, truely enjoy that. Personally I am not bothered much with his accent, I find it quite endearing. It’s the same when he sang in Chinese, there’s always an accent but it doesn’t really affect the way he connects the meaning of the song to the audience. There are many ways to express his feeling other than through language such as facial, gestures, vocal timbres, style and colours.
Also, I am very sorry for a few of your channel audiences who keep complaining about you reacting too many Dimash. Guys, the reasons she reacted to a lot of Dimash can be summarised:
    1. Dimash is the prime example of a singer who has perfected his vocal techniques, that means a lot to talk about.
    2. Each of Dimash’s performances is different enough, so again, there’s always something different to talk about.
    3. A lof of Dears watch her videos, and she is a Dear herself
Now, admittedly it’s hard to find other singer who can do 1 and 2 above with a great number of 3 asking for reactions. If you did, I am sure she will do more reactions to them.

It's not accent, it's the pronunciation and confusion of verbs and nouns. Someone needs to correct him. We all love Dimash and whenever there is new song I always go check out. He is still the best singer on earth. Criticizing doesn't mean hating. I can understand if he sang it wrong in 2017 but I can't accept why nobody corrects him in 2020. He keeps singing lives (noun) as (verbs), 'I' as 'e'. He did it in Adagio and now in Your Love and some other English songs. Is it really that hard to sing "I"? Or is it because nobody dares to tell him it's wrong and it changes the meaning if you sing it that way. I'm pretty sure if someone told him he as a perfectionist would correct it. Just like your kids if you loved them you would correct them when they made mistakes? That's how we learn. Why take offense when people tell the truth?

As a Russian who came here at the age of five i still have a noticeable Russian accent. Actually I've been living in Brooklyn, NY for 25 years and whenever i go out of state first people detect my Brooklyn accent and ask if I'm Russian, which is freaky. Russian, Slavic in general leave an almost impossible to remove accent. I can detect the accent from Slavic celebrities that try so hard to hide it. It's tough, I think Dimash is capable of learning how to hide it for famous English songs. Personally i enjoy his accent most of the time but in some cases for some songs he would need to grind, drill those sharp sounds out. Since Celine Dion had an accent i find this a perfect match but as an example, if Dimash was singing a Disney song it would be jarring. Not that Disney or musical theater is the endgame just that if he wanted to play around with those he would need to work on the accent as another important element in his vocal toolbox.

Interestingly enough I watched another reactor who, for the first time, heard the song Screaming by Dimash and he actually said that the accent in this song made the song better that if he sang it in perfect English. I agree with this as I find that the accent adds something else to all of his English songs, I'm not sure how to describe what the feeling is when I hear him sing in English, but I think the accent lends more sexiness to the song. It kind of reminds me on Julio Inglesias.....smooth and sexy... Speaking about Celine, I did hear somewhere that she is keen on working with Dimash please correct me if I'm wrong...

Somebody said in the live chat that English is one of the easiest languages to learn. Well, I agree if your native language has the regular abc (Latin) alphabet. But if your language is in Cyrillic alphabet.... just try it. I do not like criticism from people who only speak English, and give comment on the pronunciation of others. It is like somebody else in the comments said : first learn to sing a song in Kazach and then you will know how this goes.... I love the pronunciation of some words by Dimash much more than the official pronunciation. I wish English would become DInglish in these cases...

Pronunciation of English is one of its most difficult aspects. It's highly irregular with respect to the spelling; which is no problem if you've learnt it for years or are a native speaker, but not if you're used to a more standardized language. There is a song where Dimash sings the wrong version of 'lives' (the verb with the short 'i' rather than the noun with the long 'i'), but with native language coaching or lyrics in IPA he'd easily put that right. Good move on his part to include plenty of material in Italian.

    • @maykacha4987
      @maykacha4987 Před 3 lety +3

English is native to me, but it is confusing. I am American, living in Australia and my husband is Vietnamese -Australian. Words that sound the same but spelled differently. Honestly, English is one of the most difficult languages to learn. ”Th” is a hard sound for a lot of non-English speakers. I found French, Spanish and even German fairly easy. Currently learning Vietnamese which I rank right up there with difficult languages as it is tonal. To be honest his English at this point is not much worse then Celine's pronunciation in some ways. No one seems to mind her English.
I find Americans overall pretty intolerant to those that don't speak English. Even when they visit a country that English is not native. I have lived in 7 countries and have seen my share of Americans in them. They tend to yell when they are not understood. Like getting louder will help someone understand a language they don't speak. Not saying all, just a lot of Americans seem to presume everyone should speak English. Dimash also started learning as an Adult he was 23 when he really started to try. It gets harder yet as you mature.

I find that I have not listened to this song very often - unusual for me, a Dear. I suppose its the song itself. It is very beautiful - almost too emotional.
But i find myself more interested in any of his new endeavors- wanting to hear where he is going musically and artistically , so especially interested in Qairam Elim (which was reviewed here.). I hope he has been composing. I love what he does with folk music.
For those of you who regret the focus on Dimash: Besides the hard work, his driven energetic nature, and his rich and expressive voice, he has an artistic intelligence that is worthy of attention. Now that he has a devoted audience, he can now explore, no longer needing to prove to the world he is worthy of a listen.
There has been the Russian period (mostly Igor Krutoy) and I have loved all of that, especially Olimpico, Sinful Passion and Love is like a dream. The ensembles of Krutoys music with Aida Garifulliana and Lara Fabian I could listen to non stop. Some of these are in italian, even though the composer is Russian.
He has a Chinese section, Autumn being a favorite also have loved his duets with Tengri, Wo Tong, and drunken concubine. There is a video game song that I like very much, and another some sort of play that I find exquisite. The Chinese opera singing section is pretty interesting as well.
And of course, KZ My favorite is Daididau. There is a fun teenage video - Dimash wrote the song and his father the lyrics.
Oh yes, there are English songs as well- the list is pretty long
In his concerts you would hear pop type music (not my favorite style) Alot to accomplish at 26, from a lesser known country. The country is expecting him to help them be noticed as an up and coming country - no small pressure as his mother once commented.

Coming here every monday just to say bad things about him, that aren't even true won't make anything better. @@ViviZafir I'm so tired of Dimash haters, and I find myself getting angry at times, especially when people attack him as a person.l (later on I laugh at myself for getting so worked up). How hard is it for them to understand that he's fascinating for vocal coaches? And she enjoys his music overall, not just the technique. Dimash reactions aren't going anywhere any time soon, even if Elizabeth might change a thing or two on the channel. There's still many videos of him which are less popular or from when he was younger. I still discover such performances now and then.
