Considering that is specially designed for that task , I would say it’s a really rough and poor solution , it just looks terrible, you wouldn’t accept that on you car or house as a tailor made fix, Mark I think you did a good job with what you were given, Caravans really are 2nd class Citizens when it comes to build quality and for what they cost this shouldn’t be the case😡

Yes this was the manufacturer warranty procedure a few years ago too. But it was a better fix than a new back panel, as the new back panels were splitting after a year or 2 causing more problems 🙈

I wathced this when first released, We just got ours back yesterday from some warranty work none related to rear, I was flabergasted when looked out the bedroom window to notice these fitted, we didnt asked for them they not notified us was doing them, I instantly emailed for a reasoning showing evidence when we bought it photos on there property before taking the van to now so could not say was always there, and this is what i got back - With regards to the rear panel, the majority of manufacturers have introduced reinforcing caps which are designed to strengthen the top radius corner of a caravan we have done this work foc. 🤔

Baileys did the same. My twin axle senator went back to the factory many times. For new front and rear panels along with many other customers vans. The panels cracked and let water in. Bailey knew they had a problem but just fobbed customers off about it. I asked customer services how many times my caravan had been back to the factory and their reply was they have no record of it being returned. When I said they were lying to me they put the phone down.

Just found this and it confirms my feelings on the caravan industry and the dealers attitudes to warranty or repair work. As a car manufactures agent for 40 years all I can say is that the caravan industry is 50 years out of date. The bodge attitude that the dealers believe as being acceptable just wouldn’t be allowed in the motor trade anymore. In this case if the front has cracked and it is still in warranty then it must have a new front panel fitted nothing else is acceptable.❤
