  • What makes a good leader a good leader? Throughout history, many types of leaders have profoundly impacted humanity. Often, it is only in hindsight that we fully appreciate the extent of their influence, whether positive or negative. However, no one becomes a leader without followers. In essence, it is the followers who shape their leaders. Are there specific qualities that can help us identify a good leader? Buddhist scriptures offer a fascinating list of attributes proposed by the Bodhisattva as essential for effective leadership. Are these qualities still relevant today? Surprisingly, when we consult the “sage” of the modern era, ChatGPT, we find a striking alignment in the qualities deemed necessary for good leadership. This talk will explore how both ancient wisdom and contemporary insights can guide us in recognizing who would make an exceptional leader.
