Problem is not about talking about Virat strike rate. Problem is why only him. There's Rohit Sharma who is failing in T20I, Surya not performing against big teams in T20I. That's the problem people only criticizing Virat Being better than everyone in T20I. single handedly took team to final in 2014 t20 worldcup, in also 2016 semifinal.also highest AVG in t20I with same str as of Rohit.

far as Kohli's strike rate, I don't think he'd get as much criticism if RCB was winning more games or had a stronger bowling lineup to defend lower totals. Gaikwad's at roughly the same strike rate and you don't hear anyone talk down on his performances because CSK's been keeping itself in contention for a playoff spot the whole time. I do think more criticism should be on the 3 or 4 RCB batters who've been well unders though, or on RCB's management for putting together a team where basically their only consistent players have been DK, Kohli, Green, and Faf on and off
But Gaikwad plays at Chennai and Kholi plays at Chinnasamy so that's the difference.
The difference is other are trying what he doing just Stat padding which almost guarantee his team score will be 20-30 less and will lose. Same thing he did in last t20 wc semifinal. He has been an incredibly consistent anchor and even though that role is less required in the current IPL environment (though i bet you will be shouting for it on a slow/sticky wicket in the WC when India have lost a few wickets and have a tricky run chase on their hands), Kohli has shown a willingness to adapt and play more aggressively this year especially against the spinners.
Do you seriously think that Kohli cares more about personal runs than his team winning? If that’s the case; why does he celebrate his team mates scoring boundaries or taking wickets? Look at things objectively and not through yours biased lens.
And the last time i checked, the only reason India made the semi’s of the 2016 and 2022 (and the finals of
2014) was because of Kohli. Stop singling him out as the reason they lost against England when he wasn’t the only conservative batter in tougher 1st innings conditions and India bowled terribly.

Most of the umpires the IPL uses are from the ICC panel of umpires. These umpires have not indicated that narine action is illegal in any of KKR matches in 2024. So logic will say narine action is legal and if he decides to bowl in international cricket he will not be accused of chucking.

Sunny played for a draw with his 36 n.o :). And Virat may have a role defined in the RCB lineup. Thats why his strike rate is around 130-140. Some of the previous IPLs he played deep and then went bang. This IPL he has not done that. And I am all for criticism as long as it is not snide of a personal nature. Thats why we have commentators.
