Steven Adams is a really good player. Rebounds well, a good defender, sets screens as hard as you can imagine. But I can listen to him talk all day. Thank you for this. From an all-time Grizz fan from the Philippines.

That pels season fell apart with bledsoe and ball. To a lesser degree inghram disappearing in the 4th.
Bit of a rough situation for him to be put into. Shit coaching, but the confidence of that team was through the floor as the season went on. Can remember a couple games where nobody wanted to take the potential match winner and they kept passing it till time expired. Summed the season up
@@bubblesnz1059 Dude you gotta put down the crack pipe. At no point in the season was Steven Adams the best player on the team. I don’t think he’s was the best player for even a single game. Bledsoe was garbage and Steven Adams was right there with him. If he managed to get a double double it was a momentous occasion. That’s why we traded both those bums away and had to move down in the draft. We still got one of the best rookies in the entire draft though so it all worked out.

It was undeniable that his net rating, on/off splits, and hustle were the difference those first 20 games.

@@bubblesnz1059 calm down buddy, you’re not some genius basketball analysts just because you have an unpopular take. I watched every single pelicans game last season minus four of them. Steven Adams was a solid rebounder and box out guy but other than that he was god awful. He couldn’t catch the ball on offense and when he did catch it he never scored. On defense he would not even attempt to step up on ball screens. He would just sit back and if the dude decided to drive at him he would just watch it happen. Only thing he could do was stand his ground in the post.
Love how he still has his accent after spending so long in the states.
2 of his sisters are Olympic/Paralympic Gold medallists...
Lisa won a gold this year and Valerie won bronze this year and is a former Gold medallist in Shot Put...
He is a legend here in NZ.
As a Heat lifer who is also a Kiwi. I will support any team that support Steven and I urge all Memphis fans to look at his Wikipedia page, he is incredibly humble and had a very very rough time in NZ. In 5 years he went from homeless to the NBA. Fact. I truly hope to see the Grizz in the Finals. Nothing but respect and I love your roster this year!! ✌

Steven wasn't used right at the Pelicans. They didn't get the best out of him. Maybe the mix with Zion wasn't right for either of them. If he is utilized by the Grizzlies as to how he was at OKC he will be an asset to them. Russell Westbrook had a great understanding with Steven and the Grizzlies Morant should emulate this. They will make a great combination this way. Another thing is many miss iwhat Steven does off the ball to aid the team. Stats aren't the whole thing eh. I wish Steven and the Grizzlies a successful season. PS Steven will also be a great mentor for the younger players

being real though Steven is a great system player, he implements his coaches system to perfection. his basketball IQ is amazing and he understands where he is need and not needed. if a coach told Steven to shoot more from outside the arc he would've, you realize role players and players like Steven cant just go out there and do what they want on a nightly basis and keep there job?
