Since they do not share much of their time with other people, the lack of conversation with others makes him to start creating a new vocabulary, that's the importance we don't realise in the day by day of having interactions with people. But I simply love watching them, I've been around here since the beginning and I must confess that 15' - 20' is not enough, and the wait is too long...

I've mentioned this once before, but Spencer didn't address it in the video: You should take the toilets off of the rainwater system and run a pipe down to the lake and use either a demand pump (or alternatively an elevated tank with a float switch to a pump) to fill the toilet tanks (after running through a filter to keep the water clean). You can save quite a bit of water this way. We actually did this with sea water when I lived off-grid, and had valves so that we could move the toilets back onto the rainwater tanks in the rainy season and switch over to sea water in the dry season. It wasn't ideal because the sea water was harsh on the rubber seals and would corrode any metal parts in the tank but it was better than running out of fresh water. None of that should be an issue with pond water though. This will save you many more hundreds of gallons then collecting A/C condensate (which is still a good idea, though)

I look forward to the day Jesus comes back and sets up His kingdom then we'll all be "living off the grid" of this fallen world. We've all sinned and need a Savior! We have to believe He took the penalty of death that we deserved and rose again conquering death and hell for our sakes. When we invite Him into our hearts, we have eternal life forever. Jesus was a carpenter, He came to build His home in us with His amazing Love!!! We can spend our lives here on earth working so hard but what matters most is what we choose for eternity. John, I hope you know this truth. I'm sharing it in Love!

I love the idea of leaving yourself a message. When my parents built their home in the mid-70s. My father put pennies and baby food jars life magazines inside the walls. Our contractor stapled a current newspaper on the wall behind a kitchen cabinet. My parents are gone and the home has been sold. But the new owners have discovered some of these things remodeling and I still live in the neighborhood so it's been a fun memory Lane walk.

When I remodeled my turn of the century farm house I too discovered old history. A carpenter signed a interior wall dated (1936) and name. The family prior to wall papering had twin toddler’s. Marked their height, names and children drawings on the wall. Hated to cover the old history but plaster walls were cracked and needed repair. Took pictures of it.

Binge watched your entire journey to complete your home. I admire you both! I have also learned a lot as I was considering getting 3 - 53' containers and building myself.
    1. No chance I have the strength and ability to do such a great job myself.
    2. I understand how important having both the correct number of solar panels and a large battery capacity if I want to have enough power to not depend on the grid.
    3. We get such a small amount of annual precipitation I could never collect enough rain water to survive.
    4. Living where it snows, putting a pot bellied stove in a central area appears to be quite necessary to augment electric heat in the winter.
Thank you so very much for sharing and I wish you all the best. You are wonderful people, your children are blessed to have such great, motivated parents. God bless! Mary

That porch area looks so good, Spencer does his own woodworking skills on how it looks, let me tell you, that couldn't look better. Especially after the master painter and stainer got to work on it.
Your children are so delightful to watch, you must be proud parents.

Cam is Your Little Chatter Box Sweety Pie 💚. Gotta love how kids always say Da Da Da Da Da Da Da first 💙, soooo sweet!!! I feel like it's maybe only like the second time the Doggy has barked, love them both. Beau's lights are so pretty and fun! What A Cutie 💗, just like Mommy💜. Love the porch. Thought you would have installed motion sensing light to keep critters away. Oh Beau reaction to the fairy lights so sweet. Cam crawling up the steps. Both growing up so fast. Praying for everyone to get some rain. We are so hot and dry in N Texas also. Beautiful job as usual you two.

Absolutely a beautiful job on the whole home. I remember the very beginning and yes when you said 2 years I thought wow how time has flown by. You two stuck it out and made it to the finish. I have one question...WHAT'S NEXT BUILDING PROJECT??? You two and the children are like an adopted family and for goodness sake you can't just disappear LOLOL. I have grown to love your humor, the up's and down's of things going right or wrong during the build and then having TWO beautiful extensions to your family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing ALL of your awesome video's. God's blessings to you ALL.

Oh heeeey! Been here since you started the inside. Wish it had been sooner. So glad I found you before you got too far though! I've been happy to see all of the progress and see your family grow 🥰 The house looks AMAZING! We bought a fixer upper and when I'm feeling impatient and just want everything done I frequently think of the patience yall had to build this house and it grounds me. Ty for sharing your lives and build with us!

well...been following you two and now four plus the dogs, since the very first video and am truly amazed and happy for you and what you have accomplished together...have a suggestion for Spencer with the solar panel system...I come from the days of the big 10 foot satellite dishes out in the yard and we had a 90 volt dc motor antenna actuator for movement of the dish from horizon to horizon...they also use the same thing basically on auto gate opener systems...the dish systems are everywhere left over from the old C-Band satellite dishes and you could probably get you any amount of systems for almost nothing but it would sure move your solar array with ease and could also be tied into an auto sun tracking system to maintain 100% solar efficiency throughout the day...anyhow...just and idea, something to think about.
