Yeah I just got back from two weeks in Greece/Crete, and most of these tips are the opposite of what we experienced. Food was CHEAP. Many small stores didn't take credit cards. Yes, you need to plan but why wouldn't you plan? Yes, the scenery is fantastic, no argument there! We didn't go to any of the Cyclades islands, but of course ferry prices would be high. Also, someone else pointed out about the under-24 discount being for students only.

1st of all Greece is not expencive,2nd of all one thing to know is it can be challenging if you stay on islands like Paros because there arent any hotels also in most small islands but mykonanos and Athens have some pretty good hotel cant lie and food is actually really cheap , grilled Octupus,on private islands will cost around 36eros but it all depends were you buy things from and how you do it like even boats you have to search for deffrent boats cuz they are all deffrent prices lets say me my mum and my sister on one boat it was 12eros but on a diffrent boat it was 50eros so be careful and search befor buying anything cuz you can get things cheaper then what you see but all together hoped this helped comment on one of my videos for me to give out more tips✌️🤍🌸

You will probably figure its not expensive in greece 3. Dont worry about ferries as there are plenty and you dont have to worry about them selling out. 4. Dont plan a trip based on a picture of a beach, the whole country has nice beaches no need to jump around chasing beaches that you can find almost anywhere. 5. The season is long and you can go in june to avoid crowds.
As a Greek living in Berlin, I disagree. In Berlin, which is a capital city akin to Athens, many shops still don’t have POS (including restaurants and bars). In Greece, even when I visit my small hometown, I can pay with a credit card literally everywhere (ok maybe not λαϊκή? But I haven’t shopped there in years so they might have POS there now as well)

It’s not the fastest ship there is but it’s not either taking hours to arrive. Το go to Corfu there are many options and I consider the cheapest to use a train from Athens to Hgoumenitsa for 17 euros and about the same is the ticket ferry as it is with Aegina. That makes us 26 euros or dollars. Do you know how many kilometres is the distance between Athens and Corfu? Well it over 500. If you consider the sum of 26 euros expensive for over 500 kilometres well I don’t have to say anything. Also many hotel owners kept their prices the same to attract old customers.

It depends where you go. If you want to go to 5 star hotels and expensive islands like Mykonos and Santorini then yes it will be expensive. But there’s also plenty of cheap choices which you also enjoy your time. Also in Greece you don’t need to go to a 5 star restaurant and pay hundred of euros. Even if you go to regular restaurant or even street food it’s all delicious. So no need to get expensive.

Greece is NOT expensive..he literally went to the 2 only expensive parts of greece mykonos and santorini...ur going to the tourist island traps and defining an economic situation of an entire country....in greece they dnt charge for parking at the beach and beach is free in usa just parking and paying to get into the beach is at least $30-$40...buses r cheap in greece and plentiful and the food is amazing and cheap cheap cheap....meteora the place that he was describing is beautiful that's basically free when you go there there's no charge for the parking and if you just say when you walk in that you're Greek they let you in for free so just learn a little bit of Greek the first thing they say is are you Greek and you say "Ne emai elenida (female tense) all of the parks and all of the historical areas are dirt cheap you can get in for under 5 Euros which is like $5....my familiy is from Katerini which is the northern part of Greece right near Mount Olympus even going to Mount Olympus is free I can't tell you how many free things they have over there .... the fairies are also cheap I don't know what this guy is talking about this guy is a boob
It depends where you go. If you want to go to 5 star hotels and expensive islands like Mykonos and Santorini then yes it will be expensive. But there’s also plenty of cheap choices which you also enjoy your time. Also in Greece you don’t need to go to a 5 star restaurant and pay hundred of euros. Even if you go to regular restaurant or even street food it’s all delicious. So no need to get expensive.
