Bowhunting Black Bear in WV - - Didn't Go 20!!! - - (For Real - the Swhacker put him down QUICK)

Warm November evenings produce big bears in the mountains of southern West Virginia! Yes, you read that correctly. Most people are looking for a buck but I've found success in years past killing bears at this time. Each bear that I've killed during the whitetail rut has been feeding on acorns for years where the acorn crop was great.
This ridgeline is covered in large, mature oak trees. Also, it's been abnormally dry recently and this area has a nearby water source that this bear might have been working his way towards.
As the title says, this bear didn't make it 20 yards before piling up and stopped moving within seconds of the shot. I'm extremely impressed with my archery setup this year and I can't wait for the next opportunity to fill a tag!
