- This is a tutorial on LibreOffice Writer covering, how to add columns and sections. The tutor starts off by adding three columns to a blank document. The tutor then explains how to move from one column to another using a manual column break. The tutor then selects a piece of text and creates a section out of it. The section options enable users to add columns. The section is set to two columns but the rest of the document, top and bottom is set to one (default) column.

I noticed you still answer questions under this video. Just want to say thank you that you do this.
I try to always answer
Thank you SO MUCH !!! It seems that there is a good deal more subtlety to formatting a document in Writer than there is in Word
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks

I went to layout > columns. Choose two but not seeing any coloumns. What I get is another page added below the default page
how to solve this?
I am not sure without seeing it in action. It does not do that on mine version
I figured it out. You have to add a border or separator style.
