- The appropriately named #CoolShitProj (it'll be easy to see why!), was a renovation and interiors project located in Scottsdale, AZ. Using a bold iteration of our trademarked aesthetic, Organic Desert Living, we completely transformed the previously dated home into a modern, sophisticated sanctuary this family of four would be able to enjoy, and entertain in, for years to come. We incorporated a lot of COOL SHIT into the design, including the arched hood, double islands and doggie station in the kitchen, the custom bunk beds in the guest house, and a formal dining room complete with stunning custom shelving and built in banquette seating.

This was so beautifully done. I love that ya'll kept things neutral so that all the family has to do is swap out pillows, blankets, wall art etc to change things up. Also you mentioned things not being cost effective but this seems like a forever home, so saving money for bespoke items like the range and bar work. Great work ladies!

Love everything about this! And that curved wall to house that beautiful stove is perfection! Although I am wondering why you chose to put the sink on the other side of the island and not closer to the stove? Wouldn’t it be harder to be washing and cutting up vegetables then walking around the island to cook it? Seems like it should’ve been placed closer to the stove 🤷🏽

Beautiful tour! Is there lightning in the arched stove ‘moment’? Looks pretty dark to be cooking in. The refrigerator seems to be too far away from the sink and stove. Does that elongated work triangle work?

Hi there! Unfortunately, the cabinets are custom, so sorry about that!
This kitchen is absolutely gorgeous to look at but it is going to be so impractical to work in. While cooking you have to walk across the island to get to the sink (say washing something off quickly) and the fridge is so far away that you're constantly going to be walking back and forth. The cabinet in between the fridge and the range creates at least 2 extra steps that are going to count in the homeowners lives.
I had a huge kitchen like this and while it looked phenomenal I found that the size of it caused such impracticalities when cooking in it which is why I spot these problems now.
The previous kitchen concentrated the use in one area and _that was not a bad thing_ except for the open dishwasher problem. *It is good to work in a compact kitchen*, there are usually not more than one or two cooks doing the actual work at a time so you have to design it for one or two people.
This kitchen does not have the golden triangle that's the pillar of good kitchen design because the sink is on the far side of the island and the fridge is too far down, it should have been right next to the range. Yes it would probably not have looked as good but it would have been so much more practical to work in.
Stunning ! Only thing that would not work for me is that the sink is opposite to the range. But who am I ... that could be the new trend 🤷♀️

its very beautiful, however, one issue with the kitchen is that, the sink is on the other side of the bench, which is further away from the stove, i wonder if that would cause any inconvenience in terms of preparing and cooking at the same time, and u would need to walk the way around to the sink/stove, given the bench is quite big.

Does the kitchen get used at all? I feel like it's missing the human element but I still want you to do my dream home once I win the lottery and I will actually live and cook in mine 😄😄
Thank you so much! And yes, most of our projects already have clients that currently live in the home, or move in after the build is complete. The other projects are spec homes, which then go on the market and are purchased after the build and interiors are finished!
