Why does no one ever mention that Dricus was a kickboxing world champion? I think that's worth mentioning.
He was a junior world champion a lot of other UFC fighters have junior world championship titles in their resume in other martial arts before entering the UFC. He's not Alex Pereira or even close to that level in kickboxing that's why it's not worth mentioning

Sean is like 16-4 in the UFC, and (over a dozen straight wins prior to that). That in itself is very impressive. There's only like 2 dozen fighters with that many wins...and people are acting like he came out of nowhere and simply got lucky. Sean has precision and stamina, very well rounded. Dricus has power and angles, great athlete. Sean has to be careful not to fall into that possum trap Dricus has with his stamina. He'll be tired and sloppy but still swing away. Lots of big guys get tired and they give up, be he doesn't. Sean will likely keep Dricus off of him most of the fight..he's great at it, but this will likely go to the ground. Sean has great wrestling and ground game but will Dricus be able to ragdoll him like Robert? Dricus knows he shouldn't swing with the guy who defeated Izzy with his hands and pressured him the entire 5 rounds without breaking a sweat..so to speak.

I honestly can't understand why ppl still doubt DDP don't you get it he is made different there's more dog in him than any other fighter in UFC. The belt is coming to SA.
DDP is better at fighting on the ground. Strickland fights too upright, and the Philly shell defence he uses won't work against Dricus. This is not boxing. Dricus will probably continuously go under the Philly shell, take Stickland to the ground and smash him up there. DDP has superior wrestling and Judo skills, and he's not afraid to use his head and his elbows on the ground. Strickland is going to get badly hurt if he thinks this is going to be another boxing match.
It's an interesting dilemma Dricus has. Sean's mythical cardio relies on the way he fights. Not too much grappling (and his TD defence is very good, so minimal grappling, zero offensive grapplin), not having to move back, much, certainly no running, certainly not messy clinches. Him walking forward buys him a lot of rest time as his opponents work out what to do with the guy who keeps walking forward.
Grappling, especially when you are the aggressor, exhausts you. Sometimes you can make the defender exhausted with you. Sean has never grappled with someone as relentless as Dricus, not for years, where he is hurting you as he goes for subs. He doesn't use grappling as a resting mechanism. So. If Dricus goes hard with the grappling, which I think he will cause damage and loss of equilibrium for Sean, but it will eat up stamina. Everyone then says, he's gassed out, look at Sean's amazing cardio. If Sean attempts to be the offensive grappler... he risks using up the same stamina. Which he isn't used to. The key, if Dricus does a lot of grappling (if he doesn't get a sub within 2 rounds), is to make sure Sean is getting exhausted by it and isn't resting.
Strickland does not know what's coming his way, Dricus is going to bull dozer Strickland, Sean Strickland will not leave Toronto with the UFC belt.
Whitaker is DDPs only good win in the UFC. Strickland has his hands full but i feel the deep water favors Sean. DDP may find out he didn't want to take it deep in the rounds. Love to see this fight

One of the reasons I like Robert Whitaker is that he never disrespects his opponents or tries to humiliate others. These two need to humble themselves because in the scheme of things this is not particularly important in life. Legacies are created over a lifetime and even though this is Dana White pushing the buttons, these men have to live outside of the sport when their careers come to an end. I hate the disrespect between fighters that this sport encourages.

Adesanya couldn't figure Strickland out and his fight IQ is his brand and strength - style bender . His length, precision counter-striking, and skill set. But that night, nothing worked, by the end Izzy was just trying to save face. DDP was given the opportunity to fight Izzy but didn't accept; he wasn't going to risk a loss because he wasn't 100%. @@HandMade715 some time ago they stopped testing their fighters and moved on to less effective means of drug testing like the smell test. Soldic's is very small, meaning that he is likely taking something that can condense his muscles to be more compact. Plus he has some back acne. Soldic's was my favorite fighter there so I wouldn't know about the other champions
