- This is my homebuilt Fieseler Storch 3/4 scale replica. Scratch built from Pazmany PL-9 plans. Takeoffs on this video were from a 5,700 foot elevation grass strip. For information on Hall Vortex Generators or the Hall Wind Meter/Airspeed Indicator, visit: www.hallwindmeter.com
I don’t understand why there are not more of these on the market or that have been built? These are the most functional stol type of aircraft on the market. A kit would be ideal for I don’t have the patience for plans (hats off to you guys that do). I would give my right leg to get to see this plane up close. Amazing bird.
How cool is that?10 out of 10 Id say.Great looking plane ,thanks for posting.
I like how you kept the original nose shape by cutting through the nose cowling. Helps cool that big engine. Not very aerdoynamic, but not that it matters, that bird was not designed for speed anyway. Always loved the Storch. Looking to build one from kit (Slepcev). Nice work!
TOME EN EL AÑO 1986, EN ARGENTINA, UN CURSO DE DISEÑO DE AERONAVES CON EL CREADOR DE ESTA MARAVILLA, EL SR. LADISLAO PAZMANY.
EXCELENTE VIDEO!
The engine is a Lycoming 0-540, 260 hp. Empty weight is 1432 lbs. Angle of incidence of the wings is 2.3 degrees, horizontal stabilizer is -1 degree.
Nice plane. You can get that thing a lot slower on landing and take off a lot sooner. I would imagine you figured that out by now and have a good feel for it. Nice job
At higher altitude airports remember your TAS is faster than IAS, faster ground speed and therefore
longer landing distances.
You are very lucky to have this plane.
260hp! that must give you some crazy climb rate at that weight o.O
awesome paintjob, too
what a beautiful creation….I wished I had this one. Thank you for sharing. What would it cost to buy one (built) today? Also..does yours have 2 seats or 3?
congratulations!! nothing like accomplish a dream. That's the best humanity achieve. Every body should pursuit that objective as a life program.
better built your own. you guys got it, ether.
Engine is Lycoming 0-540, 260 H.P.
I need one of theses. This airplane still around? I’m interested.
I really want to build one of these. I have a real love for bush planes and i was leaning towards a Just Super STOL, but i really like basing a plane off a storch rather than a cub. I want to build from the ground up with plans.
es hermosoooooooooooooooooooooooo felicitaciones el piloto se sentira dios en esa bella maquina que emocionante .........................
Howdy from Texas. I just got me a Slepcev Storch. Yours is much more of an airplane than mine. This was put up a long time ago, but do you still have this?
No, it was sold a few years ago.
Great job,,, could I ask,,, what's the engine?, the empty weight? and the angle of incidence of the wings? Thanks and again,,, nice job looks great,,,vern
Interesting that the 3/4 scale model has more power than the full size!!!
Wonder if it can be used aa a glider tug...
Wonderful airplane. Do you make any modification on the airframe to use the 540? My friend and I are committed to build a PL-9 to realize our dream: fly to Tibet and other high altitude terrain in China. The planned landing spots are 17000ft. We are thinking to use TIO-540 on PL-9. Do you think it's feasible in terms of weight and balance and overall strength? What's the published load factor of PL-9? Thank you very much. Xin from Chengdu, China
Nice....
Dear quadruplane,
Do you still own the plane at this point in time? If so, is it still availlable? I would be interested...
Greetings from Germany - schnueffelferkel

It's a wonderful airplane, but I am considering letting it go so that I can work on another project.
I still own it.
That is the aileron pushrod
Why do you want to sell it after 11 years or so of hard work?
Are you still thinking of selling?
Imagine this aircraft with the DRACO engine ;;;;;;;;; what ?
Where is this... Wyoming?
+Mr.Clem This is in Utah.
Thanks. Very nice state!
Looks a little like some German airplane snuck in one night and forced itself on a Super Cub.
belong back home.
