Side Kicks was TT's BEST album. Darker, Brilliant bass, keyboards and arrangement. Check out pre-Cure drummer Boris Williams in this live performance. It's cool that he was Thompson Twins drummer before he joined The Cure.

I was at the recording for this, my Dad worked at Tyne Tees. It was a whole bunch of pre-records (unusually for The Tube) for broadcast later. OMD did a couple of tracks including Frankensteins Monster with a hand cranked lyrics type thing. Kid Creole and the Coconuts finished the day off. During the recording of this, Alannah Currie was shaking from head to toe and deathly pale - couldn't decide if it was stage nerves or something else.....Thanks for sharing. I keep looking to see if I'm caught on camera LOL

I wonder if there's an extra keyboard player behind the scenes playing the bulk of the synth parts or if its all programmed because Joe Leeway spends more time dancing, singing and vamping than playing his keys...similar to how Andrew Fletcher in Depeche Mode did it. LOL
