    Lovely soaps! I remember the summer of 1976, it was stifling hot and everybody moaned about it, if they say they didn't they're fibbing, lol. I was only 8 years old so I played out a lot with my friends through the summer holidays, and enjoyed it. There were lots of water pistol and hose pipe fights etc. so we could keep cool.

    We also have humidity in uk, that makes it far worse. People who live in hot places often have dry heat or they’re close to the sea and get some breeze. I’ve been on the equator and in deserts, and neither of those types of dry heat are as bad as high humidity heat. Yesterday was like being in an oven, my head was pounding with sinus headache, felt like my brain was cooking, and you could cut the thick heavy 71% humidity with a knife here in central London. Quite a few fires, some houses in east London burnt right down. Possibly some glasses left sitting out in dry gardens, that’s all you need to start a fire. Cooler now thank goodness 🥵

    Very charming, just to watch you cut made soap and a bit of a chat!
    Sorry it's so blessed hot there! I know your not used to that immense heat. We get it everyday here in the southern US. It was 101 degrees F here today. It was stifling for sure. I always feel sorry for my horses, but they do have fans and I try to hose them down at least once a day! Can't wait for September! Then we'll get a break!

    British homes are designed to keep the heat in, and most homes don’t have air conditioning so we feel the heat harder when temperatures get above 25 degrees.
    Loving the look and sound of the scent descriptions of these soaps ❤️

    oooh i could die for a bar of that "I shall not fall"! I love your lost boys collection and the concept and the scents you are choosing and everything for the different bars. I think people in the U.K and those who can buy soaps from you are very lucky, you have such a wonderful and well honed sense for what scents and colours go together etc. x

    Love being surprised when the soap is cut! Great soaps! Last summer we had temps around 47 here in Oregon USA. WAS HORRIBLE. Humid .. had to stay inside. Glad it is gonna cool off for you soon.😊

      Ugh! That's just stupid hot. Matt went to Oz one year and it reached 118 F. All they could do was just sit indoors. We need AC here at home. Would cost a fortune though!

    wow 40 C is hot even for me, you poor things! I live in Queensland Australia and I feel your pain especially when the heat isn't relieved by a breeze at all. Every summer it's between 35-40 c here and feels like you can't do a thing because it's just so hot you can hardly move but I'm lucky that where I live I'm on a sort of hill near the coast so I get a breeze at least. i do alll my soaping and making and work in winter (now) because summer makes me useless lol, it's just too much. i don't have air con either but a couple of years ago I got 2 portable air con units for my bedroom & my sons bedroom just so we can actually sleep at night throughout summer, they've been the best decision I ever made lol. btw I'm also a 70s child, 75. xo

    It's blasted hot everywhere. Right now it's 95°F with 44% humidity, feels like 101°F out there. Just awful. I wish Texas would take their weather back.....Stay cool as best you can, I know you people don't have lots of AC, thankfully I've got central air - can't wait to see what my electric bill looks like, though.....BTW, I can't help it, but Celsius measurements crack me up. I wish it was 40° (F) here!

    • @futureprimitivesoap
      @futureprimitivesoap  Před 2 lety +2

      40 Celsius is 104. It's the most horrible heat. I couldn't stand it. If there had been a breeze it still wouldn't have felt any better. It's absolutely obnoxious haha! Thankfully the temp dropped today to around 70 f so we can breathe again. House walls are still warm though. The best place is in the car with the AC or the supermarket fridge section. Crazy though I'll be moaning about the cold soon!

      Hahahahaha, I live in Texas and we are melting right now. Usually we have only 3 days out of the year that we are over 100 and we have had 10 days just this month with more on the way. I think hell moved in 🥵

      @annreinbeau Před 2 lety

      @Tiggy Makes Soap you will never hear me complain about the temperature in January. I say it all the time. I despise heat and humidity. The only thing I like about summery is my garden but that's crisping up because we have water bans 😟

      Yes fans, ice, cold smoothies, my workshop is nice and cool inside now the temps have dropped back down again.
