  • For everyone saying this is too much work, or they don’t have all the tools… here’s a link to a similar item in Amazon’s “Hand Made” section: amzn.to/3Qb0QuF or check out this one: amzn.to/3KgXx16
I just have more fun making my own stuff when I have time and resources.
    Thanks for watching. :)

I would suggest 1/4” hardware cloth if you have small stones!

For sure there are many gauge options. And you could make a few for different uses. In my case, in a wild forest setting, I’m only looking to separate sticks, twigs, roots and bigger stuff to quickly make the soil a bit more even. Thanks for watching. :)

@@lumberingshenanigans I need a box like this to search through dirt for arrowheads and other Indian artifacts!

Oh that’s brilliant! Yeah something like this would be great for that.

As far as projects go, this looks s like fun. But if I need a yard tool I’ll just buy one.

I appreciate that, making stuff isn’t for everyone, and certainly not for every tool. But a nice wooden sieve cost about $50-60, and that just seems like an awful lot of money for a few pieces of wood and a wire mesh. Plus, where I am, it would take me longer to drive to the store and back than it did to make it! Haha.

How many hundreds for all those tools you used?

Yup, you will definitely need some tools if you want to make things instead of buying them. Most of this build could be done with hand tools though, if you’re not already equipped for major DIY. I grew up using a hand-powered drill, screwdrivers, and hand saws, it’s amazing what you can get done when you need to. I have these bigger tools for the other major builds I do on my channel like cabins, outdoor structures and forestry projects. Thanks for watching! :)

Exactly! I invest in tools so I can have fun making and doing. Thanks for the comment Dances with Ducks. 🦆🕺🏻🦆

Most people at least have a circular saw . Can be done with the minimum tools most people have and save money .

So glad I got a table saw recently. 16$ things are so much easier to make once you have the 1000$ in tools and workspace 😭

Exactly!! I’m glad you get it. There’s no point having tools if you don’t put them to work making stuff. Which reminds me… I really need to get back into the habit of making stuff… and filming it. 🤣
