19:03 Now we're talking! Excellent work man, even helped me out ;)
Nice! this thing is a deep dive. I filmed for almost 2 hours and still feel like i just barely grazed the surface. Glad I could help ;-)
also voting yes for the "unafford-a-board"
Not every pedal is aimed at every player, and while I can't foresee myself dropping this kind of cash on a pedal it is impressive and the video did an excellent job showing off it's features. I honestly love that Ryan covers everything from the budget to the boutique with the same depth.
Running through the features of this one felt like a marathon. They really packed a lot in there.
a superb detailed demonstration Sir. the ramping is amazing...and Mr Hand returns!
Sounds pretty amazing! I didnt realize I was in the market for another delay pedal, but a stereo BBD that sounds this dope is hard to pass up
Thanks for such an in depth video, makes me even more excited to get my hands on it
This will be the year of the Stereo pedals
I just want a parallel mixer and dual analog delay in one box.....under $600 if possible!! lol
The year of everyone having two Princetons, lol.
@@joermnyc Just go ahead now
@@masterofreality230The Donner White Tape is a dual analog style pt2399 delay that’s dirt cheap and works well on a mixer send etc. Ryan has a video of it from a while back.
That is the coolest Pedal I've ever heard. If I could only afford it, I wouldn't need any more! I could spend the rest of my days just composing hundreds of songs with those sounds-and I'm just a beginner at guitar. Wow!
For $500 those seeds had better lead to one massive beanstalk with a castle at the top, or fields of opium poppies.
What a fun and powerful pedal. So many nice moments to point out. I'm presently at 18:29... wish I had listed earlier ones, but it'd be easy to fill the page.
Idea for a super useful video:
An in depth breakdown of TRS cables, stereo ins and outs going to two amps, and wet/dry wet/dry/wet setups
The last thing I need is another delay pedal, but I might just get this!
No need for headphones. Watching on my tv that runs through my surround sound. Sounds fantastic!
That sounds completely awesome. I would love to compare this and the Walrus Meraki. See which one is more worth the high price tag.
Sounds killer, great demo.
They pedal really is fantastic, but every time you pull that Orangewood rubber bridge parlor out it just amazes me what you do with it. I have my email listed with Orangewood for when it get back in stalk. That say sometime February. So anxious! So glad you got your updated one. Sounds as if the reported grounding issue has been addressed as well.
Sounds Amazing through Headphones!
finally, a worthy alternative for DOD rubberneck. might order one
❤ A "budget" version would be the Donner White Tape, it's $440 dollars less but you also lose $440 dollars worth of quality, features and class (plus, the last one I got sucked, didn't sound anything like the earlier 2 I had purchased.) This may be at blues lawyer prices but you are getting a legit, powerful pedal for those 500 clams. This thing s----lays, lays, lays, lays, lays...
Agreed. I have the white tape and it’s certainly cool for the price and unique feature set, but it doesn’t live on any of my pedalboards (which are mono anyways). I just don’t like the sound of it enough as a normal delay pedal. But it’s worth keeping around and sounds good as a synth or mixer effect etc
35:01 That tone is wild! So ambient...
It's more like a synth pedal. Where's the "Knobs" channel when you need it?
The coolest video ever
Nice touch with I Will Follow,U2..
Wow this is definitely top of the line. Way above my skill set, but Wow🤩
I have had my eye on this company. They make good pedals. This one is probably their best yet, imo. I bet two separate analog delays would be awesome also in parallel. It really hard to find good lfo modulation period, but in an analog delay is the best place to put it. This sounds like me with my Ventris, Volante, Deco v2 and HX Stomp. Its mind bending lol Good stuff.
31:45 Sounding very Pink Floyd-ish (early). Syd would approve.....
My stereo delay is also my reverb, the Nux Atlantic. It’s not too shabby for a digital pedal (there are tricks to make digital sound analog these days), no where near the price of this, but it’s not quite in afford-a-board territory either unless you find it used.
Dear Ryan. There is no such thing as "Too Wacky". Yours sincerely, Rix..... (This video gave me serious GAS dude, especially the far out stuff. Thanks for making me have to eat ramen for the rest of the month, AGAIN!)
Whoa! At 19:06 and 20:34 it sounded like like the Fantomas song Page 2 off their first album. At I like it, I like it!
Also, for several seconds starting at 20:22 it sounded Like Nirvana's Radio Friendly Unit Shifter.
But I have my Donner Island!
*sigh* ...but it doesn't begin to do what this one does. It's on the list!
I wonder how this comapres to the Walrus Audio Meraki
60 cycle hum how does it feel to have that many guitars i've never seen you use that golden sparkle guitar.
Feels like this is my job and those are my tools. Here's a recent video where I used the sparkle jag-stang czcams.com/video/6JNa9hckyGY/video.html
@@60CycleHumcast I love that look the jagstang has, it always reminds me of Kurt and the coolest thing is my dad owns an old Univox that needs to be fixed!
I sooo like their pedals (and Blammo). Cant afford the import fees and taxes though. We just get railed here in the UK now.
Worth every penny from what I’m hearing. And, Ryan, I’m listening with headphones… not earbuds.
It's hard to pick this over the Suhr Discovery or Meris LVX at that price point.
What would be close to this in the budget pedal world?
its got so many features theres really nothing like it in the budget world, if you just want a simple analog delay there are plenty of options. But a stereo through analog delay with expansive controls, midi, presets, expression, tap, and modulation all assignable to each side with ramping and everything else? there's nothing.
The wild thing is that it's so stereo that I actually can hear it on my phone speakers lmao
Pedals, as good as many new ones are these days are just getting too expensive.
Yeah I'll swing back to check this episode out later, but I'm already dipping out at "in my hand I have a $500..."
For sure. This pedal costs more than my guitar and amp combined
This is essentially two delay pedal in a single pedal housing with stereo & midi…..
The struggle is real ......the Benson delay is just as good imo and my aura by raygun fx coat 100 and I'm obsessed with that thing sounds like a mermaid falling into a blackhole or something
This is a great pedal - but my $50 Movall Falling Star doesn’t sound all that dissimilar…
*steps away from video after ordering an Aclam Dr Robert OD*😬....mine wasn't as much as this one but still....
Try the Strymon nightsky , lots of cool sounds
it sounds nice ... but 500 usd ? come on.
its stacked with features, find me a cheaper pedal that does what it does.
@@60CycleHumcast you´re probably right, there are only few analog stereo delays - the Boss DM-101 is not so much cheaper, and the great Walrus Audio Meraki is even more expensive.
Maybe I´m just trying to convince myself not getting another delay...
I am the correct kind of inebriated for listening to stereo delay noodling on headphones.
Plant the seeds in a pot in your studio
theres no natural light in there.
Grow lights are cheaper than most petals.
See if you can grow some pedals
500 Bucks. No Thanks. But does do some nice tones. Thanks,
Oh geez, that's cheaper than I thought this was going to come in, haha. Stereo analog delay with tap tempo means lots of expensive parts and custom microcontroller setups. The Walrus stereo delay is a hundred bucks more.
Is it worth it? Depends. But is it overpriced? Nah, I imagine the margins on this are a lot tighter than most guitar pedals.
Cant see it for my skill level but is probably fun as hell to mess around with.@@JonathanKillstring
Would be cool to see how this compares to the new OBNE Merkari dual analog delay
Weirdest version of "Rumble" ever?
Pretty much
Already on the order list. Should be killer. Almost as killer as shirtless tipsy livestreams
I love flower pedals, but at that price point this is gonna be a flop.
Very pretty. Very expensive. I'll pass.
