    Looks great. Im waiting for nicer weather to start trying some stuff like this with ny 80w co2. I'm wondering if someone can just foam brush on the washable paint? It seems like you airbrushed yours on the outside. Thanks for sharing.

    • @htl-customs
      @htl-customs  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I used an old tractor supply automotive paint sprayer ...it since died ...but the foam brush will work , but I would use a foam roller instead as the brush leaves an uneven thickness, which affects the laser(for fiber anyway)

      @htlholsters6867 appreciate the advice. Did you thin it down at all to use with the sprayer? I have a smaller HVLP sprayer (top feed) I haven't used in a very long time, but I always thought the paint needed to be fairly thin. I'm going to start seeing what works on metal next. I've read your fiber is better for metal, vs my co2 can be used, but isn't as ideal.

    Why do you paint it black cant you just laser it without paint?

    • @htl-customs
      @htl-customs  Před 7 měsíci +1

      A fiber laser isn't supposed to do glass, so if you don't paint it then the laser beam will just go straight though and do nothing...the paint stops it just long enough to do the etching

      Hello there!! This video is great!! Question, do you know if you have to paint the glass in order to engrave on it? I have a 50 watt raycus and lay tape over it to place my design then remove but it doesn’t appear the laser hits it as hard? Perhaps too reflective?
