She has pointed questions. Zelenskyi answered seemingly hostile questions well. This is what good journalists are supposed to do... Ask difficult enough questions and provide platform for the interviewee to respond to make clear their views. I think western people are so used to the woke media's buddy buddy approach to interviews or full on attack mode to their perceived enemies... E.g. FOX and CNN journalists, if we can even call them that.

Because he currently represents his country publicly i.e. Putin also understands and speaks english and german but whenever he appears on TV he speaks russian.
Lastly it's responsibility of the president to speak his countries language regardless of his proficiency in others. As an example Zelensky knows russian better than ukrainian and in his family he speaks(or spoke) russian but during TV escapades he only speaks ukrainian and many ukrainians might even point out errors OR accent.
I would feel bad if president of my country would publicly speak other languages ESPECIALLY when he is in my country receiving guests, if he speaks other language it could be viewed as a form of submission to the "guests".

This is just recent years, matters of violent, aggressive alliances.
Remember that the NATO is the North Atlantic has recently been expanded to the Pacific and the Indian Ocean.
They’re part of the North Atlantic now.

Its mission was extended the Indo Pacific region.
The idea is to enlist Canada, Europe, in the US campaign against China, actually, because Vladimir Putin, apart from the criminality of the invasion of Ukraine, was also an act of brutal stupidity, from his point of view, drove Europe into the pocket of the United States.

... Why did Zelensky start the escalation and start shelling Donetsk and Lugansk? After all, this is written in the Daily Report 40/2022 issued on 21 February 2022 from OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM)

Zelensky’s premise on how the war started differs with historical facts. Obviously the developments on the ground shows that Ukraine is experiencing more Ukrainian deaths as Russia is using more destructive bombs.

Personally, can't let go of Bakhmut and the way it was handled, but in any case that's our war time president that has to put in serious work, provocative questions isn't something that should be in the discussion, what I see is the interviewer being a bit facetious, bringing up the interview to internet memes level and mixing up serious questions that need to be discussed with stupid bs that is in part brought up by the enemy as part of their infowar strategy
