  • As part of the Principia Mission Space Diary project - supporting Tim Peake's mission to the International Space Station - Britain's first astronaut, Helen Sharman, talks about communication in space. Not only do astronauts have to learn other languages for their training and communication in space, but they also have to understand how and when to communicate with earth.

#curvedhousekids Fascinating insight into training and learning a foreign language...hoping to use this with our Space Diary children at school and get them talking German and Russian ,we have two boys who are bi-lingual English/German and a boy who is bi-lingual English/Russian, it should be a fun session !
