@@MetalMaster101 Yeah people put Alex low-tier but I don't agree with that at all. He's not the best character in the game but if you really get him down, he will fuck you up in any match. Just look at Prototype sonning Punk at Evo when Punk used Cammy who was probably the best character in the game before Season 4. Gunfight is probably the best Alex player right now and a perfect example of even if a character is considered "low-tier" it only takes one person to show you that they can win any match with them.
When Punk learns how to stop underestimating his opponents, then he will win EVO.

21st While I definitely have to side with you when it comes to character loyalty since I stick with grapplers for the most part we all know why Punk is playing Cammy. He's playing to win. The same reason Daigo dropped Ryu, but Karin isn't a bad character, or am I missing something?
ZeriocTheTank Karin got some pretty nerfs to her buttons. And the 50/50 in the corner being revomed, really hurt her. Also she still have problems with AA. She still viable, but not insanely godlike.

Evo is the place of dreams, nevertheless Prototype was playing really good with the lariat anti air and some other tools (Punk definitely didn't knew the match up lul).

Which of the top 5 characters has a command grab? Guile, Ibuki, Cammy, Akuma, Menat, Rashid? Now think of low tiers, Vega, Alex, Ryu, Juri, Gief?
R.Mika, Birdie are dangerous high tier characters with command grab. Alex imo the best character in low tier. He has above average health and damaging attack and enough tools: has scary, damaging command grab (even more damaging than zangief's while have better mobility), has lariat which after that opponent have to guest, have a very good range (his high kick has long range while hit high and low, good for crush counter game), have plenty of good surprising/pressuring tools like air stemped/head crush. In pressure situation, most of the time head crush almost give free damage to opponents...

She got some nerfs like any character to balance the game but Punk made a fatal mistake of thinking he can slide by with Cammy who was the cheapest OP character in the game last year. He should've stuck with his main, like he has since taking an L in pools, and he's back to winning.

See as strong people say Cammy is....she still play the same since SEASON 1, with a couple of very situational buffs that really not make her as scary as Balrog season2 or Abigail at the beginning of season 3....Punk should have keep his main Karin, that's was were he shine, still very cool and awesome play from Pro7otype, seen Alex win put an smile on my face. Alex's weakness is his close in AA game and you either take a monster combo or a tick throw.

I suppose I can't disagree. I am unfamiliar with him, but this particular performance was pretty meh. Just seemed low skill to me. As for Alex, yeah, perhaps you're right.
I main Alex, and his anti airs are decent at best. Especially when it comes to dealing with close up neutral jumps and cross ups, unless you have bar for ex knee (upperbody invincibility at frame 5) which you won't because Alex is meter dependent to start his offense.
