Hi Erica, just now saw your vintage quilt tops. The 5th one is precious as your grandmother hand sewed them.My sister in law says at her church several ladies meet few days a week ,& hand sew quilts. Not sure if still do it,bec.of Covid-19. I think they give finished quilts to needy.
Love your tutorials. I have this antique quilt top and decided to hand quilt. Well I have recently had a upgrade to my Gammill. I love it. Here is my question. If I took my quilt out of the frame and machine quilted the rest of it or quilt the whole quilt would I have to take out all the hand quilting. I need some some advice. Thank you clara herzog
I have been really enjoying binge watching Linda's long arm quilting show! I got to episode 212 and cannot find episode 213 that Linda referred to in episode 212. I see that episode 212 was posted in November 2015. When will episode 213 be posted?
I found this old antique quilt already put together. would like to make a whole quilt with it. Should I wash it before proceeding. It is probably 70-80 years old.
Hi Linda, I have recently purchased a long arm machine. I have a vintage grandmothers flower garden quilt that I want to quilt. It has uneven edges as the “gardens” are all whole. So there are lots of edges making me wonder how I quilt this on the long arm Not sure how I attach the top. Can I just float it on the batting and pin it down enough to get started? And if I do that I don’t know how I finish the edges after I’m done quilting. I don’t want to mess it up and I don’t want to cut off the edges to make it square. Can you give me any ideas? I appreciate any direction you might give. I love watching your videos and have learned so much from them.

I would never machine quilt an antique or vintage quilt ! Thats a slow stitch process imo
