  • I had to upgrade my drill press and spent quite some time figuring out what drill press to purchase. This is what I ended up with. I am quite happy with this decision!

      Thank you! At least I did something right in the video! 😄 This is actually by our cabin in the Norwegian mountains. The dog is getting old, over 12 years now, so we treasure every day with him. ❤

    You make it look really easy! The instructions are actually confusing as the pictures for the clamp and post don’t match up?
    But as an older women I guess I’m not as technical😅 Thank you

    Hei fra Holland, I had the exact same reason/issue with my belt driven drill press with a wobbly drill chuck and changing the speed with the belts has always been a pain in the butt. By the way, It also happens to be that my holidays are always spent around the Sognje fjord so I am also a frequent visitor of your beautiful country. Thanks for the video and happy drilling! :) Nice dog btw.

    Hi,
    Quick question, is the wheel and up and down motion smooth and controlled when operating it, or can you feel the teeth and jerkiness of movement because of that?
    Another one I have, when you let go the wheel will the machine go up on her own or does is stay in position, height wise, where you left it?
    Just received mine and it is certainly used not new one :(, with hard operating wheel, where the teeth can be felt and it does not come back up (the limiter is not engaged). Also the depth measurement is broken :(

      Hi Sebna,
      My unit was a brand new one, and the wheel does operate smoothly and controlled. I am very happy with that. When I let it go it goes back to its zero position.
      I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with your unit.

      @@thenorwegianmaker many thanks my friend for confirming. This is my first bench drill and was not sure what to make out of it.
      Amazon is going to send me replacement and I will return this one. Hopefully the replacement is brand new and sealed unit witch will work as it should.
      One extra question. Have you ever had to grease the shaft or the teeth to keep the operation smooth or is it constantly smooth from new?

      @thenorwegianmaker  Před 2 lety +1

      @@sebna I try to keep it as clean as possible at all times. I have used dry lube a few times. Never use grease.

    I am glad you like it. I like mine also, except for the chuck, which I changed. I show how to change it in this video in case you want to do it. czcams.com/video/nCqVoaGVK8g/video.html
    I had mine for over two years now and I plan to do some other improvements also, but nothing is high priority, so I take my time. BTW, I have my bench drill fixed to the bench. It improves the quality of drilling and makes it easier to handle.
