This video would make more sense if you didn't criticize Knowles for explaining what the art project looked like, this is the language used by the people who made it.
Also my understanding is the portal people were using Twitch. The stream was taken down for violating TOS.

Like a heavier topic would be a socialist like Rolfe advocating for a mandatory minimum wage increase. In contrast to a portal complainer.
