    Salt lifts the sweetness, always add a little salt while cooking sweet stuff!!! 🤗

    Thanks for the note about your physical altitude. Here in Louisiana, we are mostly at sea level (or below for New Orleans!). A mile in altitude can make a lot of difference for cooking.

    This will be one of the first recipes to make in the pressure cooker when it arrives. My husband loves rice pudding, and I've never made it.

    Yes, perfect comfort food. I'm with you regarding raisins.

    thank you for the recipe, I only had long grain rice and it came out thicker consistency which I prefer. opuld u recommend adding orange or lemon zest in the pot while cooking?

      I like to mix zest with granulated sugar so that the citrus oil gets absorbed into the sugar and intensifies the flavor. So while the rice is pressure cooking, mix the zest with the sugar with a fork. Sounds like a great addition.

    • @PressureCookingToday
      @PressureCookingToday  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I like to use a 22 minute cook time for brown rice.

      Hi Susan - I haven't used pudding rice, but it sounds like it should work great. It works with most types of rice. Enjoy!

      Pudding rice is similar to arborio rice.

    How about with just white rice

    • @PressureCookingToday
      @PressureCookingToday  Před 2 lety +1

      You can make it with regular long grain white rice, it just isn't as creamy, so you may want to add a little cream.

      I see most recipes are calling for more than three minutes so if you want it creamier you might be able just to cook it a little longer as well
