My guitar journey has stopped and stopped dreaming about being a musician. I really miss my hand playing the chords. 😭

talent is just a headstart letting you start ahead of others, but it doesnt mean you're superior because even if someone doesnt have that headstart as long as they are patient enough they can catch up to those talented ones and maybe even surpass them
Yoo, this is so timely. I lost my dad a year ago, siya yung nag mulat saakin dito sa pag gamit ng guitar since highschool. Tinuruan niya ako, ilang beses niya cinorrect lahat ng mali ko and binilhan niya ako ng iba't ibang guitar, until now nandito parin. Minsan nawawalan ako ng gana mag guitar tapos biglang babalik kasi aayain niya ako mag jam, pero noong nawala siya ni tignan yung guitar ayaw ko kasi sobrang sakit na maalala mo na hindi na ulit mangyayari yung jamming niyo and etc. Then ngayon I was just listening to guitar covers while doing some assignments, tapos biglang ito yung nag play, tho matagal kana namin pinapanuod actually you're one of our idols. going back ayun na nga biglang ito yung nag play, and nag rewind lahat. Maybe my dad and this video is reminding me to continue doing what you love, your passion does not end here and keep doing what you do best.

2014, i can still remember it was my first few moments of non-formal guitar learning. I stumbled upon your videos and wondered when will i be able to play like you. Literally just wow its been this long and now that ive seen your progress all i can say is that we go through the same phase just different approaches to them. Great jorney and the best is, it never ends till we go. I play now 49 years and its, for me, the best decision in my life to fall in love with this instrument. I am not as good as you in fingerstyle, but that doesn´t matter. It´s just so relaxing to play and it gives you more back as you put attention on it. Just the first year is very hard because of not having thick skin om fingertips and muscles in left hand/arm. Nice video and rock on, greetings from Germany.

Recently, I decided to quit on being a musician. Depression is consuming me all throughout the pandemic. I can't really moved on how the music scene changed a lot these past few years due to the pandemic. I can't find another decent job because being a musician is the only thing that I know that will bring money to my pocket for my daily needs. That's why I decided to quit. But after I saw this video, I was thinking of reconsidering my decision and keep moving on. Thank a lot for the inspiration.

27 nko, gnyan dn nrinig ko nung nagsimula ako mag aral ng piano nung lockdown, at ngaun dami ko n nplay na mga songs at nkkpagplay by ear ndn, mabagal lng sa sight reading. isa lng nsabi ko, pag meron kang piano/guotar matututunan mo talaga yan.. ung iba kasi takot magrisk bumili ng instruments baka di nila matutunan.

I can't find another decent job because being a musician is the only thing that I know that will bring money to my pocket for my daily needs. That's why I decided to quit. 27 nko, gnyan dn nrinig ko nung nagsimula ako mag aral ng piano nung lockdown, at ngaun dami ko n nplay na mga songs at nkkpagplay by ear ndn, mabagal lng sa sight reading. isa lng nsabi ko, pag meron kang piano/guotar matututunan mo talaga yan.. ung iba kasi takot magrisk bumili ng instruments baka di nila matutunan.

Naalala ko pa dati nanonood ako ng tutorial mo paano mag arrange ng fingerstyle covers. Way back 2015-2017 pa. Narda ata yung tinuturo doon. By that time di pa ako masyado experienced sa pagkakapa pero malaki ang naitulong nung video na iyon. I'm happy to see that I wasn't the only one who struggled at first. I owe this man on everything I have learned in guitar. Back in those days of your tutorial videos you taught me how to arrange fingerstyle arrangement by using the key of D and the song Narda. Then I never realized that I am already learning the music theory unconsciously then I started learning your arrangement in Forevermore fingerstyle. 2 months guitarist here. I have tp be honest I do get frustrated sometimes. But whenever I play I dont put a lot of effort into improving. I just enjoy playing the guitar without realizing that im also improving.
