    Part 2: • Nicholas Irving on Why...
    Part 4: • Nicholas Irving on Bei...
    Part 1: • Sniper Nicholas Irving...
    --------
    In this clip, Nicholas Irving talked about finding a sense of motivation in other people failing Army Ranger training and used that to fuel his completion. He explained how the Rangers are the special forces unit that Navy Seals call when they’re in trouble. Nicholas also recounted being in a fire-fight and having someone in his unit curl up in a fetal position because they were too afraid of combat.

      Yeah but it's not true, rangers are not better than seals, they have a different mission set and let's be honest their selection process is much harder and they have a much more specialized set of skills as well as a broader set of skills. Rangers are infantry with a higher pt standard and a better weapon and training budget. Seals are not regular infantry they are geared more towards unconventional warfare which is not rangers specialty

    Navy Seal Training is harder than RASP but Army rangers have a solid foundation in Infantry tactics that navy sailors don’t have before going through Seal Training. Furthermore Rangers operate in larger groups. Seals operate in smaller teams. Therefore Rangers have more fire power.

    • @dontaymccauley4088
      @dontaymccauley4088 Před rokem +16

      Exactly what I was thinking. To much understanding the SEALS operates in smaller groups for more discreet and suprise missions. Inoder to execute with speed and efficiency that leave them at greater risk of getting jammed up with its only about 5-6 seals on a mission. The could easily be stranded, boxed in or out gunned. So theire win rate compared to their size is allot more to be praised cause they're always outnumbered. Rangers can't so most missions the SEALS do because they have separate jobs. No one group is tougher than the other. But they are some Special Forces group whose degree of difficulty or risk to reward is slightly different.

      Friend!! The 75th Ranger Regiment operate in battalions of up to 800 men but depending on the mission, they release 1 squad and that squad only has 9 soldiers, if things get complicated and they need more operators then the rangers keep adding, the navy normal tier 2 seals, has 16 operators per squad, so that seals operate in smaller groups is not entirely true. Also, if we are going to talk about small groups, there are the green berets with only 12 operators in their ODA. Going back to the tier 2 Navy seals, they do direct action, but really what they are dedicated to is maritime missions, operating on ships, capturing oil platforms, we cannot confuse the period of the war against terrorism where almost all the units of Special Ops do almost the same thing. In addition, the seals are very good at what they do, but they are an overrated unit, and I am not saying it. Kevin Holland, who served in the seals, later joined Devgroup seal team 6 and later joined the Cag delta force, he said that the most clandestine counterterrorism was not the Devgroup, it was delta force. The 75 Ranger Regiment is the only major strike force the United States has.
