There was no fight. It's the way they act toward one another. There's no Steve without Joe and no Joe without Steve. I read the book. Not kidding. It is their chemistry. It is what made Aerosmith so great over all these years.

Its just that weird chemistry they have together. I think its funny when people comment about how old and tired they are. If you like thier music they are never too old ( as long as they can still perform and sing the songs the way we expect). It takes a hell or alot of energy to sing a song when youre running and dancing across a stage. No body goes to a concert unless they want. Evidently plenty of fans still buy the tickets.

I imagine that Aerosmith as well as so many other bands that have been together for so long, that, like a big family, there will be squabbles, head butting, tempers, aggravation, and the usual sibling style behaviors. But in the end, yes, they stay together and get the job done. In the video here, Joe seems to tolerate as much as he can, probably usually does. But I can imagine what he was saying to Steve that we didn't hear. Like, "Will you knock it off and let me do my solo already?!" or "Will you grow up?!" lol
One of the few bands in the face of the Earth that all original members are still together, no lip syncing, no make up, no fancy clothing, no special effects, just good old fashion rock n roll ...

I had ahold of the back of his head at a show in Atlanta years ago, (bony little head too) he grabbed me and pulled me toward him during Joe's solo in "Monkey on my Back"....so I took full advantage .... foreheads touched, looked into his eyes.... a little cat eye brown eyeliner lol.... got a big kiss and he ran back to the mic to finish the song..... so many stories, .....about herpes lol I LOVE this band.....

Brad is the unsung hero of this band. Really doesn't get the deserved credit of both his killer rhythm as well as the very many licks and solos he plays that most people just assume are coming from Joe Perry's guitar.
Absofrigginlutely, well said. It took me a while to realize that the leads and riffs I admired most were from Brad. He's precise and a compliment to Perry, who's not so precise. :)

and after Perry switched the guitar
he was so pissed off at Tyler, that
he refused to go near him for the
rest of the show, evn though Tyler
“tried nicely” many times...but the
good thing was, when the gig was
over, Joe first delayed the introduction
of Steven Tyler (and you could see
how pissed off the whole rest of the
band was, because they wanted to go
home), and then as the band was walking
off the stage, he said to the microphone:
“You want one more song?”...and of course
they had to play it, even though it was totally
unplanned, and Stven Tyler was fucking furious...😂😂😂

These guys have been lifelong friends...and like everyone else get in each other's nerves. But work thru it . Aweeome
They all look miserably unhappy while playing, but last minute after show on stage, they look like they’re having fun. My favorite band of all time. I want them to enjoy it. But me as a musician I can say the sound mix and technical difficulties do take a lot of fun out. I hope they keep touring and regain the love for live shows
Jim, I caught the residency show in June. Awesome show. I traveled from Boston to Vegas for the show. it was well worth it.
I have no idea how they still do it but I thank goodness that they still do. Great as ever.

@M 40 Hey you got that right, I met Joe in an outside environment also, and he is like you said. I got to chat with he and his wife, and they are super people. He will not speak until you say something, and then he is willing to open up, especially about guitars and music in general!

I know Steven is just trying to show Joe love and entertain the audience by interacting with him but as a Rock guitarist myself, too much of that will aggravate ANYONE. Let alone a guitarist who is having to focus. I doubt Steven would like Joe constantly messing with him while he's playing piano.
Joe's actually more patient than most musicians/people to allow Steven to constantly be all over him every night, invading his space and messing with him. The crowd don't even like too much of that.
When band members are always wrapped around each other, it's less special to the audience and to those musicians themselves than when they connect every now and again. Too much of it just comes across as disingenuous/ a schtick.
No, no & no... it was a classic Aerosmith performance. Shit like this always happens, there is even a name for the two I forget it rn but they are like siblings, they have their ups & downs but more ups as Joe once said.
@@Nalydretsbew Yeah, I'm a big Aerosmith fan. I know their relationship. Btw, They call them the Toxic Twins. Also, I've been in many bands so I know how it feels to be like brothers with band members but even still it can rub you wrong if they mess with you too much while you're having to really focus(like it did Joe here).
If it's a solo you always play just like the album, it's not a big deal cause your muscle memory takes over but if it's a solo that you improvise to some degree and your singer keeps bumping and distracting you, it can easily screw you up.
Btw, Frampton recently got mad at a camera man for repeated filming a lady dancing crazy because it kept making the crowd cheer. Afterwards, some people were accusing him of being jealous and uncarimg to his fans. But Frampton said he just got mad because he couldn't focus and he assumes most fans are trying to watch the show. Frampton ALWAYS improvises so he has to focus. Btw, He made it up to that fan, he was just mad at that camera man for a moment. Cheers!

He is not just some random guitarist like you or possibly me, he is the lead guitarist for AEROSMITH, he shouldn’t have focusing issues in my opinion and I’m not even gonna get started on what you said about Frampton that is just stupid your playing at a god damn concert, there will always be uncontrollable screaming, cheering and shit.. 🍻
