- 2021 G3 National Conference - Session 3
In this session, Joel Beeke preaches on the conference theme, the doctrine of Christ. He preaches from Revelation 19:6-9:
Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”-
for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
And the angel said[a] to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”

If you don't have it, get Beeke's "A Puritan Theology" (co-written with Mark Jones). Absolute goldmine.
A classic indeed
I've listened to this like 3 or 4 times now and it just doesn't stop blessing me!
Grace alone by Faith alone in Christ alone
1 Corinthians 15 I-4
Believe in Jesus our lord and savior
Ephesians 2: 8-9
I love that "utopia" is in the title because it totally resonates against the false promises of this world - the world is trying to bring justice on earth, utopia on earth, love on earth - none of these truly exist in a real sense without Christ. The world's version is a lie.
amen. true utopia is in the presence of the Son of God.
Yes, no utopia sought on earth by man has ever or will ever succeed. God mocks the attempts, for there is only one glorious place and position of this in the presence of Christ our Lord.
Thank you father for your very great love for me. You are so gracious Lord Jesus. Come Lord Jesus.
Thanks, pastor Beeke!

Maranatha indeed, come Lord Jesus come. Thanks for this insightful sermon on the culmination of our hope in Lord Jesus
The connections he makes to a full-orbed theology wherein lies a separate message each is like bricks in a wall, solid and proof against weather.
Wow
Amen!
@@Laredef54 you don’t want to be with Jesus?
@@Laredef54 so are you saying that only the non-meek Christians who go to heaven?
@@Laredef54 so you are following J. Rutherford’s 1935 “two class system” teaching, then? What makes you so sure his ideas are right?
@@Laredef54 wait, so you disagree with Rutherford, then? I just want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly.
@@Laredef54 are you using theocratic warfare now?

Dr. Joel sells his materials through Reformation Heritage Books
@@post_tenebras_coffea I can vouch that Reformation Heritage Books have some very good, theologically rich resources.
I love Joel Beeke, but I stopped listening when he reached the part about renewing wedding vows and wearing a wedding dress--I just thought this was so silly, superficial, shallow, and worldly.
It was an analogy, he´s known for using a lot in his sermons. Don't take it so literally.
Sounds like you misundstood the purpose of what he said.
Sorrowfully, you missed some very rich things afterward, then.
