I really enjoyed this video...such a pleasure to learn from you. On a personal note: you sound exactly like my dear sweet grandmother so you also bring back wonderful memories of my youth...Thank you!
Thanks!!! Immediately going to make one of these books. My ephemera is all over the place.
I so enjoy the crafts nd conversations. I had one of those days yesterday. Nothing happened just nothing yuck. I prayed that God would hurry and send me a new day with an adventure. I would like to make some more cards and crafts for Mother days and 4th of July. anything really. Be blessed. Remember God sometimes just wants us to wait.
You have become my favorite CZcams channel to watch.
Thank you so much.
Mine too!!!
Enjoyed the video. I am currently watching a lot of videos of ephemera holders so I can decide what kind I will make. I agree about the bug paper, I wouldn’t use it either. I don’t think I could even use it where I would see it occasionally. I don’t like big bugs. So glad we don’t have huge bugs in Alaska (for the most part)
prayers for you and your family.
You poor sweet lady. I hear you are not feeling well in your voice. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🤗🤗❤️❤️ Feel better soon. FYI, cataract surgery is a breeze. I had both of mine done and it was easy.
I love this idea, my friend made me a calendar in a booklet for xmas so I used it for ephemera and you are right it is much better in a booklet and close at hand. Thanks for showing me how to make more. I enjoy keeping things out within a short distance. I just wish I could sew. I think I am too old to learn. Tfs and teaching us.
You're never too old to learn. Even just a zigzag stitch. If you mess up a straight stitch make it part of the design.
I love watching your projects because you can use up all of your papers. I have so much ephemera that I have made and presently I have stored them in a box but I think this is better because you can see all of things that you have to use on your projects. Thank you for allowing us to view the things that you make. I live in Hawaii and I always have to order on line or try to use what I have so you have helped me think out of the box. Thank you
Thank you so much. Just now seeing this video. Great ideas. Blessings to you and your family.
Hi am new 💞 Crafty girl was talking about you so had to come over and check you out
And you my vibe 👍 thanks for the sharing 👍
You are so cute…I love that colorful bug paper. Years ago one of our church families had little boys and had a bug themed birthday party. The kids were given bug catchers and containers to see how many different bugs they could find in the park. This paper would have been perfect for scrapbooking those photos.
This is genius! Thanks so much for sharing how you are making this! I've watched once and now I'm going back to watch and make one!
You are such a blessing to me. I love your thoroughness
I love this idea!!!!!! I have old file folders that would be perfect for Ephemera. I’ve been going through all your different videos and getting ideas for my idea journal after I get settled. Thank you!
This is going to be awesome. So helpful. Thank you.
Hi from England. I buy old books from Thrift stores, cheap and cheerful! I enjoy your channel, thanks for sharing. Blessings, Valerie
This is such a wonderful idea Edith!! Will have to try this one & can't wait till tomorrow to get to the finished project. Be safe & TYFS
Thanks for sharing!
Love your creativity!! New to junk journaling and have watched so many of your videos because your such a good teacher. Thank you for sharing ❣️
These ephemera storage pages are so perfect to add to my binder pockets. tfs
This looks like a great way to make storage for ephemeral! Thanks🥰🥰
I love watching and listening to your videos!
That is so cool . I love the item you use in this video.
That is one way to use bags from the pharmacy.
Both creative and smart! Great job
I finished a ephemera book couple weeks ago but I'm not finished with all my Etsy digital ephemera that I have been printing out since last summer. I actually just finished cutting out everything but I know there is not enough room for the Journal kits. So this book will be perfect. I watched alot of different videos of peoples ideas for these Journals. You and Jeneve designs is the other Journal I made and making. Thanks. Bless you an your amazing family.
Great book!
Red line tape will hold your plastic to paper....works great
Barbara McKenney thank you I will try this
Love how you did this! I have tons of paper and plastic!
Ok I just got a Cricut I NEED one of these, so much fun learning with you!!
Loving this..thank you for sending the links.❤
What a great idea🎉🎉🎉
I love the bug paper😉
Love it. A big thank you from me. Blessings
I love your projects.
Oh look what came up,!!! Yeah! Thank you Ms E!! I'm going to use shipping tape instead of sewing (since I don't have a sewing machine) Can't wait to do this. Thanks!
I really want to try this. Great idea!
I love the projects you come up with and love your videos. Thank you for sharing. I am sort of new at all of this so I look forward to make things long they are pretty easy until I can move up in crafting...lol
I use all the junk mail catalogs I get for gluing. Thanks for the video!
awww what a cute sewing machine!
Hi first time watching. I really enjoyed your ideas. I like the idea of organizing ephemera like this Just getting into junk journaling Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️❤️😊
Very beautiful gorgeous emphera journal I ♥️ it
I'm loving what I've seen so far,hoping I can find the rest of this project,even tho it's been a yr,great idea,thank you!
Clever idea. Love your tutorials TY
When I am gluing I use an old magazine like you used the lined spiral notebook- turn the page press and continue gluing - recycle the magazine one more time
Love your idea of the file folder
Nifty idea. Thank you!
OMG! I just got rid of dozens of really old books! I would gladly have made a deal with you!!!!
I have plenty of folders. These are beautiful.
Love it!😍
Hi an old phone book is great for gluing on.
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing 🌻 I used double sided tape
I have been wanting to make one of these.
Looks cool! Like this reel
Wonderful idea
I like the papers u r useing.
If you put a piece of baking paper over the plastic before you sew it will run through your machine smoothly and then once sewing is completed you just tear the baking paper away😉😘
Thank you for that. I will give that a go.
I thought I’d share a “happy accident” I came across just the other day. I always cut my books apart when I get them and put the book covers to the side to use for journals later. While I was using my glue stick the other day while making ephemera, I didn’t have my book block that I glue on handy, I happened to have the front cover of a book that I had just cut off. ( it was coffee table size) It was one with a very slick cover. I thought, I’d just use that to glue with and just wipe it off as I go along, I found out that it is an awesome board to glue onto because you cant damage it and it wipes off clean every time. I just use a baby wipe and a dry towel to wipe it off. I hope this helps you in the future. ( it also saves your book pages for decorating with).
Thank you
Happy Birthday to your “baby”!
I love your idea for ephemera, im sure it will be very useful. I have books for you but im in the UK! Xxx
Angela Redman oh my goodness. I would love to have some books from your country. Can you get an estimate on how much it would cost to ship? And if not to much I will send you the funds. I can PayPal the money.
You could put decorative duck tape around the three sides if you don’t sew.
You can buy sports card storage pages at Walmart they work perfectly clear on both sides and fit into a regular notebook or you can cut them to suit you need.
Heavy weight vellum is what I made my pockets. Yes they r perfect for pockets
Hello I tried this but I used a nail file to ruff up edges on the plastic. I used glitter glue and it holds well. Dawn
Love this idea, E. So good for so many projects. Xx
I love this project! I'm going to watch Part @2 now. I would like to ask anyone if they have any old book pages they would like to sell (or trade) I would love to hear from you. Thank you! Have a great day! Stay healthy!
Where can I find Part 2??
😡😡😡 Okay when you said “your going to turn the sound down because a lot of people complain about sounds” I almost went through the roof! You are such a talented, inspiring, kind, sweet soul making videos on your own time. The audacity of some people to complain is beyond shameful. I am so sorry they do that. I just want you to know there are TONS of us that truly appreciate you and your tutorials, sounds and all! 🤗💗
Thank you so much.
Hey, Ms Edith, I have a couple old books. I'll put them in the mail today.
thank you so much!
@@SCRAPBOOKINGWITHMECRAFTS ~ You're very welcome. I hope you can use them :)
I buy my books from the library sale section. Very cheap.
I just used one for an up cycled book contest
Whats does art glitter glue mean?? You can also laminate the pockets or you can laminaat the sheets or use it on the pockets! For the books; did you look at trift stores, flie markets, online sales, etc?
I'm sorry to hear you are havinģ a rough day. I sinccrely wish I lived closer so I could help you out. The best I can do is say a prayer for you. Hang in there. You will make it through! I know you will. God won't let you down. Give it all to Him!
Even though I am not a crafter I love watching videos like this. I would love to start making things but I would need everything to get started. I have a few punches and that is all. What are the basics to get started? Lisa
Just paper, glue and some cardboard to begin with. Then just repurpose what you have laying around. Thanks for watching.
Enjoyed this very much! Blessings to you! ☺️💕
I like your idea for storing ephemera and I want to try making this. You mention Construction Strips that you would be using, only I cannot find the Part 2, of this video to show how you used the strips to add your pages. Could you please let me know which one it is, you made Part 1, over 2 years ago. So many videos, so little time.
We always have old books at the library for 50 cents or $1
Our library never seems to have anything.
Our library gives away books they’ve withdrawn from use. It’s worth a phone call. I’ve seen them roll carts of books right out to their trash!
Ours, too. Some of the books are only 10 cents each during their "Friends of the Library" sales. Garage sales are another source of cheap books, especially near the end of the sale time when they haven't sold all their old books--often they're happy to let you haul them away for free! I stocked up & have tons of old books.
Súper idea!. I can’t find Part 2 and 3. Is there anyway I can have a tip to locate? I reviewed 2 years ago but maybe they have different titles. Thank you.
I know this is a old video but I e looked can’t find where you finished I love this I made one similar but wanted to see how yours turned out love your videos do u still need old book pages I may have some thanks !
The full playlist is below the video.
I think that paper is pretty non directional, from what I could see! But, as you said, it doesn't really matter!
Edith, I can get my hands on some old hymn books if you would like a couple.
That would be awesome if you don't mind. Thank you so much.
What size needle needs to be used on a sewing machine for paper if I want to sew papers together
Maybe we can make a storage booklet for scrap paper. big and little pieces. maybe sort of like the ephemera journal. What do you think? God bless vicki
Sounds like an idea. We will have to add this to our list.
Why not stitch in two directions for your backstitch? Start the seam about 1/2" from edge, stitch toward the edge, then turn and complete your seam to the other end, turn it back and stitch 1/2".
I love this.
It took me a long time to look for albums where they save stamps in.
i altered them and they are fine for that little things i want to save
But they are way to ssmallto put in the larger pieces that i want to store needly ( is that correct or must that be something as neatly?)
So ....
I totaly gonna make me one of these
Love from the Netherlands
Correct
I sent the books today you should receive it on the eighth I also sent you a care package hope you like the goodies inside.
Christine Dauzat thank you so much. How sweet.
I’d really like to make one of these and I have watched the first one about the cover and part 1 of the pages and pockets, but I can’t find the part where you make the spine and put the pages in! Could you send me the link please?! Thanks...love your channel!
Here is the link that has all the ephemera storage journals czcams.com/play/PL2vTjBIkNmBuNYiAxgyGXfx6fBnNCNDfS.html
I love your ideas !!!❤💞💞💞❤💞❤💞❤💞❤
Also what camera do u use to record your videos?
Logitech 920 1080p. Thank you.
Can you use cereal box ...i have net weight 1 lb.
yes that would work
How about using family sized cereal boxes in place of file folders?
Yes you could do that.
I have book pages but they are not old. Are you looking for tea dyed book paper or just pages straight from a book. Also, what size pages are you looking for?
Any would be wonderful. I would love to have some large book pages. I don’t have any that are large at all. If you have some that are dyed that you want to get rid of I will gladly take them but don’t go to any trouble. Thanks so much for your support. E
Have you tried good quality double-sided tape?
On your show machine you say you go around it but why don’t you just flip it over and do it backwards and it will keep it tight I don’t know nothing about swim machines except my mom and my sister was a sewer but I had so so but anyway thank you so much for sharing and teaching God bless
Eve, I've been trying to find Part 2 of this video. Please help!!
I was just thinking that if you didn’t want to sew the pockets, why not try making the “construction “ corners to wrap around the edges? Hope this makes sense. 😊
Great idea, thank you for sharing.
E What kind of old books would you like do you want the pages darkened or just old books I have lots
We use all kinds of old books.
Guten morgen gibt es zu diesem video auch einen 2 teil wo man sieht wie es zusammen geklebt wird mfg isabella
This is such a great idea. I will love having all my flat embellishments together all in one big book, just grab and get going. Love it! "E", do you still need book pages? If so, send me an address and I'll get some off asap. Donna, in California.
Thank you Donna. I have received some but can always use more if you have extra. We don’t have a place around here to get them. Some sweet friends have send me some over the last week. Thank you again so much.
@@SCRAPBOOKINGWITHMECRAFTS "E" I still need an address to send them to. I might just have something for you. Hugs, Donna in California.
Oh sorry Donna I thought I had left it. 5211 County Road 1435, Vinemont, AL 35179. Thanks again so much.
Hey Edith I know I have a old book somewhere
I’m going to look for them and send it to you. Can’t wait to see what you come up with the pages. Send me a address in case I find my old books. Love the folder I was just thinking today that I needed something for my scraps and ephemera
Christine Dauzat thank you so much. Here is my addy. Scrapbooking With ME, 5211 county road 1435, Vinemont, AL 35179. That is so sweet of you. I really appreciate it so much. Let me know how much I owe you b
Scrapbooking With ME Crafts Thanks Edith I found two books hope it’s what you are looking for. I’ll try to get it mailed to you tomorrow if the weather permits. We are having a bad storm here today in Louisiana.
I find old books at the thrift store. The janke old ones, not Goodwill type.
We don't have a thrift store in our town, and right now I we can't travel to another city to look. Be glad when we can. Thanks for watching my friend. E
@@SCRAPBOOKINGWITHMECRAFTS I was happy to see that others have books for you too.
Hello, I just watched this video and am going to do it but I can't find the next episode for putting it together. Please help thank you
