When we were colonised our people were abused, our culture was beat out of our people, they were told that having markings (tattoos) of our culture was bad, they turned our people into aggressive provocative victims who just became villains who then had children and raised more villains.
I used to hate my heritage because of the colony conditioning that we were taught, I believed we were bad. Especially because majority of my people I knew personally were horrible. I WAS HORRIBLE. We are now rediscovering ourselves on our own terms unapologetically too.

Yes i recently learned that Germany beheaded Maori people just because of their moko (sorry if i butchered that) and take them to europe to exhibit to European people just like the human zoos.
